I’ve been a lil quiet on here for several reasons but mainly because our family has had a bit of a rollercoaster ride the past 6 weeks…

BUT God is good and our 2nd grandson “Emory Jones Lenick” was born Saturday September 28th weighing 3.7 lbs.
He is truly a precious miracle and we are already head over heels in love with him!!

He came 10 weeks early but is doing great! We will all be navigating the NICU life for the next 2 months but are hearts are bursting with gratitude.

Also, I could not be anymore prouder of our son and d-n-law. They have navigated this REALLY hard season with such incredible strength, grace, faith and courage. and you guys are something special!! Theo and Emory are so blessed to have you as their parents!!

Continued prayers are appreciated as we walk thru this next season.

Life is such a gift!!

13 years ago today I did my first official wedding with 265 guests! I truly jumped in head first.
& thank you for trusting me. I cried afterwards that I actually pulled it off.
I was 47 yrs old.

I started my event design business around 45 yrs old, and swore I was NOT going to do weddings;
only kids parties, showers & birthdays. Any celebration BUT weddings. HA! We make plans & God laughs.
Ok, I’ll only do them in my small rural town but not in the city…
Ok, but not in DC…
Ok, but not destination weddings…
“Courage isn’t the absence of fear, it’s doing it in spite of the fear.”

So here I am 13 yrs later at almost 61 yrs old (whatttt ?) having clients willing to have me travel back to the East coast (or wherever) to do their weddings, AND at the same time trying to start all over again here in Nashville.
Can you tell I still love what I do?

I honestly look at how far I’ve come & truly STILL can’t believe it - Ephesians 3:20.
It has been the hardest & most rewarding work I have ever done.
I am forever grateful God allowed me to use my gifts to design & create. Not only that, but to do it to celebrate love & marriage! - “And the greatest of these is love”
What a joy and privilege to be part of someone’s “best day of their lives!”

Feeling so grateful the past few days as I was thinking about my business and how it has grown over the past 12yrs. I would say 90%+ has been referrals from clients and fellow vendors.
My DC wedding in March next year started from a wedding I did back in 2018!! 4 referrals later…
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has ever referred my business! It is the greatest honor.

Exciting news! Our precious lil family is growing!
“Baby Peach” (as Theo has named the baby) is due in December. We are so excited and beyond grateful!
I think my heart might explode getting to love 2 of them.

Hey friends! It’s been quite awhile since I’ve done an introduction and I’ve had a lot of new friends join me here over the last several months so… WELCOME EVERYONE!!
We moved from Md to Nashville about 2yrs ago to be with my lil family and precious grandson who is now 2.5 yrs old. He’s one of the greatest joys of our life. We absolutely LOVE TN and getting to do life with our family! The wedding industry has been so welcoming here! I’m excited after 2 crazy years of moving twice and traveling a lot for work, I can start to work on growing my business here.
To be honest, it’s truly hard to start over after being in business for 12 yrs but I’m not ready to stop!
Before we moved I did a lil brand “refresh” with and changed my business name from “Celebrating Love by Marcie” to “Marcella Lenick Events & Design” I shared this on a post in 2022. Though it’s come to my attention recently that some people still don’t know this AND my old business website has been hacked! Ugh.

I love designing weddings that reflect my couples love story and style. I take pride that no 2 weddings have ever been alike but are still timeless and elegant.

I do full planning and design for weddings and events wherever my clients will bring me. I’ve done and continue to do work in DC, PA, NC, NJ, Boston, MD, VA and soon in TN! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be a destination wedding planner!
I’ll travel anywhere to create beauty and celebrate love with the couples and families.
I truly love my job. Private estate and tented weddings are especially my favorite!

I’ve been married 34yrs (love my guy to pieces 🤍)
I love interior design (check out my page .houseonahill) dogs, deer, trying new restaurants, nature, cooking new recipes, exclamation points and hugs!!!
In the end “every good and perfect gift comes from God”
and I am forever grateful for all of the precious gifts He has blessed me with.
Thanks for following along on this journey I started a lil later in life. Remember it’s NEVER too late to pursue a dream.

Hey friends! Happy February 1st!!
Who else had a January that was a dumpster fire??
Seems like a few of you had a rough start to the year.

I have been busy the past several weeks onboarding new couples, doing venue research and setting up travel plans and site visits. So excited to be traveling to DC in a few weeks for lots of meetings and I’ve booked my first wedding here in Nashville for 2025!!

Grateful that His mercies are new every morning (and every new month!) 😉

I’m ready to start fresh! I’m walking into February with a new mindset. Whose with me??
