It’s my Meg’s birthday today, and I am blessed to call her my wife! ⁠

Each year seems to pass a little faster these days, but I could not be more grateful to do life together. ⁠
⁠
I was on a podcast this week and was asked how I am a full-time destination wedding photographer, traveling the globe, and have three young kids at home.⁠
⁠
The answer was simple: “I have an amazing wife.”⁠
⁠
She loves our family well and makes everyone around her better. ⁠
⁠

From the Richardson home to yours, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! ⁠❤️

This is us in Franklin, TN, and San Diego, CA. Two places that we keep bouncing back between each year. ⁠
⁠
They both play a unique role in our hearts for different reasons, and we’re thankful for each place. ⁠
⁠
I love looking through these photos (some taken by my friend ) and recounting such special memories. I also photographed more families this year than expected, and for some reason it felt different. ⁠
⁠
I know it’s cliche, but having kids truly has changed everything for me. ⁠
⁠
It opened up a part of my heart for families that I didn’t fully understand until I had kids and its allowed me to feel what a parent feels for their children.
⁠
Ultimately, I love people and want them to love their photos as much as I’d like to love my own. ⁠
⁠
Looking back at these photos of my family reminds me of the importance of documenting each season because they change SO fast, especially when they are little.⁠
⁠
Grateful for everyone who trusted me to capture them this year and cheers to all that 2025 for you and your family!

Today is 12 years.

So thankful to look back at each milestone of our marriage and remember the beautiful, challenging, and life-giving moments.

None of it has been easy, but we both believe marriage is worth every ounce of work we’ve deposited into our relationship.

Meg is best person I’ve ever met when speaking the truth in love, and it’s a crazy gift.

She can hold someone so tightly and still tell them things that sting in the moment but end up cultivating the most impactful fruit in their lives.

I love being married to this woman and look forward to another year of adventures and watching our family grow ❤️

My heart has been very heavy the last week and a half for all of the people affected by the recent hurricanes.

My family was on vacation in Florida and we left the day hurricane Helene hit.

Since then, we’ve been watching firsthand stories of peoples’ lives that have been flipped upside down or people who have lost loved ones.

I can’t even begin to imagine what this is like for them and can’t get my mind off of it.

One thing that has been encouraging and given Meg and I a lot of hope is to see the hundreds of thousands of people, both locally and across the country, giving of their time, money and resources to come alongside these people.

Continuing to pray for peace over our nation in a pivotal point in history, and grateful for the spirit of unity during times like this.

Freedom for all: a life without fear and full of love 🇺🇸

This morning, I asked myself, what is freedom in its most simple definitions. Culture has tried to redefine freedom with a form of selfishness that has redirected the purpose of freedom in its original form.

To me, freedom is the ability to live without the fear of financial hardship, relational loneliness, poor mental health, family dysfunction, and the list goes on…

We live in a beautiful time in history where collectively we have the power to directly impact the future.

I hopeful about the future of our country because I believe that we are living in a great awakening. One that doesn’t happen over night but overtime, the more we become knowledgeable about truth, the greater we can expose which is not.

This is one of my favorite photos of all time taken of me and my son when he was two. It embodies so many things I value:

1. Joy
2. America
3. Childlike wonder

My hope as we celebrate the beginning of our country today is that we would have deeper revelation of the power of freedom in each of our individual lives and collectively we’d come together to create a bright future.
