LORRIE MORGAN COMMENTED ON THE PASSING OF Kris Kristofferson with whom she had collaborated many times over the years and shared a special friendship.

"I’m so heartbroken tonight to hear of the passing of my idol and friend Kris Kristofferson.
I truly feel like I will always feel a loss in my soul just knowing he is no longer here among us. Kris gave me the strength to believe in my own songwriting, and he wept many times when I would sing him my songs. I loved him deeply in my soul as a friend and artist. He was one of a kind. I hope he is at peace with The Lord. I will always love you, Kris. Thanks for believing in me and giving me confidence in my writing. Nothing I can say tonight could ever express how sad I am."
