This groundbreaking occasion, being the first q***r event in the space, demonstrated our resilience in proving the beauty of blackness, defying the limitations imposed on us in the past. On June 21 from 5-11pm, NMAAM will host a special ballroom competition called "The Message: The Revolutionary Power of Ballroom," featuring special guests: Billy Porter, Legendary King 007, and Houston Kendrick.

This is a unique opportunity to celebrate and honor ballroom culture and the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community to Black music and culture.
