June 13, 1992

Country Music Singer Billy Ray Cyrus started a seventeen week run at Number One on the US Billboard Country Music album chart with 'Some Gave All'. His debut album featured the world-wide breakthrough song 'Achy Breaky Heart', which was originally recorded as 'Don't Tell My Heart' by The Marcy Brothers on their 1991 self-titled album.

The album 'Some Gave All' sold over Nine million copies in its first Twelve months of release. Four hit singles were released the first being the song "Achy Breaky Heart", which topped the charts in several countries. In the US it was at number one for Five weeks on the Hot Country Songs chart, as well as being a top Five hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It became the first single ever to achieve triple Platinum status in Australia and was the best-selling single of 1992 in the same country. The single 'Could've Been Me' peaked at Number Two on the US Billboard Country Chart. Followed by 'Wher'm I Gonna Live' at Number Twenty - Three and 'She's Not Crying Anymore' at Number Six. The album's title song 'Some Gave All' reached Number Fifty - Two based solely on unsolicited Radio Station airplay.
