Two of Mississippi's Favorite Son's. Jimbo Mathus and Cary Hudson certainly fit the modern day troubadour model.

Jimbo with his work with Squirrel Nut Zippers and various other incarnations of bands has certainly established himself as a songwriter.

Cary Hudson's band Blue Mountain Music was a highly acclaimed band during their run in the early 2000's. Cary has established him as a stalwart songwriter that has continued as a soloist. Cary Hudson known not only for his tunes but his playing.

Jimbo and Cary will be trading songs and playing with each other in this special program being presented Locust Alley in beautiful dowtown Natchez, Mississippi.

Born in Philadelphia, raised in Arkansas and developed in Memphis. Tav Falco is an innovative rock musician who combines rockabilly, blues, and fractured noise. He has created films and documentaries about musicians and the cultural scene in Memphis, Tennessee, in addition to touring across the globe.

The New York Times describes Falco as a “singer, guitarist and researcher of musical arcane who hasn’t let his increasingly technical expertise and idiomatic mastery compromise the clarity of his vision.”

Formed in 1979 Tav Falco's Panther Burns has had several notable members. Alex Chilton & Jim Dickinson in that number. Tav has been writing and performing for over 40 years and is not slowing up. Embarking on his first tour in 3 years, Tav now bases in Italy. This will be the next to the last date on the 28 city tour.
