Hello hello!!

I’m finally back and recuperated from a week at Disney! 🤪 I legit needed a week to get my life and house back in order, so now I’m back! Back at the gym this morning after three weeks and ready to start taking on some orders for the rest of the month! I’ll be limited on how many I take because of July being a busy one, so message me ASAP for anything needing to be done for June/July/early August.

I would love to get some spirit canvases done for those going to college soon! I’m starting on two today! 🩵

Hey folks!

I am officially closing up shop until Monday, June 10th! You can still message me about orders for June and July, just know I can’t guarantee an answer until the 10th! I want to spend this time intentionally with my husband and daughter since I’ll be leaving them for a week (yall please pray for this mama!)

I know I said before I wasn’t really taking new orders in June, but due to - what I hope was a misunderstanding 😅 - my calendar just became pretty open for the summer! Feel free to message if you need things done for weddings, bachelorette parties, and all other celebrations! 🥳

Also remember I have a sale thread going on until June 10th in my VIP group! After I get back, my things will be back at Bella Ink that week!

Yesterday I mentioned that my remaining inventory will be going to Bella Ink for the summer. Rae and her girls are going to be moving to a new building while I am on vacation, so I went ahead and brought my things home so they wouldn’t have to worry about moving my things with everything else. I’ll be setting everything up in the NEW location when I get back from vacay!

I’m done with markets until the fall, so my time lately has been spent getting all of inventory ready to bring to Bella Ink in Groves! Today I finished up these earrings in between getting some custom orders done before the holiday weekend. ✨

Can glass cups and school spirit canvases are great gifts to give those going to college, joining the military, or taking on a trade after they graduate. Gifts don’t have to be just for the college kiddos - we’re proud of them ALL!

A little out of the norm of the school spirit canvases, but this might be my favorite! 🤍🌿
Last Friday, I got to attend a service at my sister and nieces church that honored the youth high school graduates, which is included my niece, Kailey!
Kailey has decided to not go to a major university, and instead participate in an internship at her church! She will take different classes and attend overseas mission trips during this time!
At the service, each student got a “brag table,” so in lieu of the typical “school spirit” canvas, I made her a Christian themed one!

I LOVE being a color guard director. The way we do things in terms of who is on my team is a little different at PNG. It consists of the varsity twirling line and some of the drill team. Every year I can have anywhere from 30-40 girls on my line.
This, of course, can be overwhelming and can some times make me not feel like the best director (especially when Bandtober hits 😅) but I love all of my girls and am always so proud of them by the end of show season.
This year, one of my former drill team girls reached out about decorating her cap and of course I said yes!
Sweet Karys came to pick it up yesterday and absolutely loved it! As you can see from the design, she’ll be attending Texas State and continuing her dance talents on the field as a TXST Strutter!

You’ve seen my school spirit canvases, no I would like to introduce the ✨Swiftie Canvas✨

Chesney loved the idea of the school spirit canvases, but really didn’t have ties to her university and also just takes online classes, so she asked if I could do a Taylor Swift theme. I of course said YES! I’m not a huge Swiftie, but I do appreciate the girl and her music, so I had a lot of fun making this one.
Chesney told me she for sure wanted the initial necklace and the branch at the top. Other than that, she gave me a color palette and creative freedom for the rest! I used a different method on this one with “messier” outlines. She was super happy with how it turned out when she picked it up yesterday. 🤍

One thing I have slowly started to gain more confidence in since the last year is painting fabric!

Last year I painted a teacher jacket for my friend, Tori. A couple of months ago one of her co-workers reached out asking me to paint one for her!

Alexis had such a long last name, I had to ask if she would let me separate it so I could fit everything to be able to make it cute. 😆

Overall I’m happy with how it turned out!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mamas out there! This is my third official Mother’s Day! 🥰

Being a mama is my “why” for my business. Not only does it keep me sane 🤪 but it allows me to set aside money for Claire’s future, as well as allow me to treat myself every now and then. I have worked since I was 17, so being a stay at home mom was difficult for me at first. That’s when I decided to start doing something I loved on the side while still being able to raise our girl.
•
The photo attached to this post is the woman who our girl is named after - my grandmother, my Gabaw. Rosa. She was a second mother to me and helped raise me in a time when my mom and dad had to both work. I’m so thankful God placed this woman in my life and helped shape me into the woman and mother I am today. I hope to just be an ounce of the person she was.
So, when I went through a rebrand, I decided to honor her in the name. She always taught me to live the life I want and live it fully.

In March of 2019, this beautiful woman gained her angel wings after fighting multiple health issues. I think about her every single day, this day every year especially. I hope I’m making her proud.
•
While thinking about this photo, I realized that this was taken at my cousins wedding, just months before Gabaw passed away. After a long and tough season, that same cousin is celebrating her first Mother’s Day today. 🤍

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Regarding ordering for items needed in June and July ⬇️

Every year I take July off as I run a color guard camp and prepare for it in the weeks before. I'm also going to Disney in June! From May 27th - June 9th I will NOT be answering messages. Any messages sent in that time will be answered on Monday, June 10th.

Here's what I have decided to do:
If you need something in June and July - the absolute last day to order will be Sunday, May 26th (I may open it back up for a few days in June depending on how many orders I have). But for now, this is the plan.
I'll take orders until then and when I get back from Disney, I will spend the rest of June working and getting your items to you before I take off in July. With my daughter no longer being in MDO for the summer and my husband working a turnaround in June, completing orders might take a little longer, so I want to give myself ample time to complete your orders and give you my best work. 🤍
After May 26th, I will still answer messages and take orders, just know that I will not begin working on them until August 1st.

As always, a down payment of at least half of your total order is due in order for me to start.

I hope this all makes sense! If you have any questions, please feel free to message me or comment below.

In the meantime, come and see me at my last two market events for the summer on May 4th at The Golden Cup and May 11th at Legendairy Gelato - both on Boston Avenue in Nederland!

Well, the wind about did me in at 409 Day this afternoon. 😅 My tent was almost a goner multiple times so I decided to take it down (paying for it with the slight sunburn on my arms though 🫠).
All in all it was a successful day! And I made a new friend that makes the cutest crochet creations!

Lately I have been wanting to get back in to painting. I would try different projects and it just wouldn’t spark at all.
However THIS had me getting excited for painting again! I didn’t even know these existed until my niece asked me to make one for her and her roommates in Nac. I’m so excited with how it turned out and am itching to do more! 😍

What is small business?

Small business is multiple trips to the craft store and being on a first name basis with the cashiers because it’s your fifth time there in a week.
Small business is not being able to sleep until you execute a great idea that you hope and pray the people will love and sets you a part from the rest.
Small business is trying to always be on trend, but unique in your own way.
Small business is excitement and disappointment; early mornings and late nights; it’s a lot of work for sometimes not a lot of profit; it’s feeling optimistic one moment and discouraged the next.

Small business owners put in a whole lot behind the scenes that you don’t see. So when you buy from Amazon or Target, all of our work becomes obsolete.

This holiday season, consider shopping small and local.
If you say “well the economy is bad right now. I can get things cheaper on Shein or Temu.”
Trust me, WE KNOW.
We’re getting hit with rising prices and online companies stealing product photos (not me personally, but I’ve heard some stories recently!).

Do some research in your local businesses before going to big corporations this holiday season. Ask around - you may find exactly what you’re looking for from your neighbor who I can guarantee will do a happy dance when you come to them instead of going online.

Keep all of us businesses in mind - those with store fronts and the ones that work from their garage or kitchen tables at home and rely solely on social media for sales. The money we make goes to ballet classes and savings accounts, not to pay off our luxury cars and homes.

Todays market at Le Classic Vintage on Nall ended up being pretty successful! It was a little slow in the beginning but we had a small crowd come out in the afternoon!

Don’t forget that next Friday Emily Madyson Dunnahoo with What Hope Brings Co. and I will be hosting a special pop up at my home!

We’ll have plenty of gift items, Emily will be having a huge sale and gift with purchase, and I’ll be having discounts as well!
