Eventually we will just be a photograph.

This is a picture of my grandparents on my mom's side. I don't even have one of my dad's side.

Life is quickly fleeting and we will just be photographs at some point.

I don't even really talk about my grandparents very much.

It's so easy to forget we are but a v***r. Don't forget. Make today count and don't get caught up in stupid stuff.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted, but I’m mostly caught up from the fall portrait season! I think this is the busiest I’ve been since before having kiddos, and it’s made me evaluate some things for next year’s portrait season.

Anyway, more on that a different day. These two celebrated 25 years together this year and part of their celebration included a photo session. 👏🏻 Marriage tip: find someone who makes you laugh like these two do together. ❤️ We had the best of times and included a little BTS of what it’s like to work with dogs… 😉

We had an impromptu maternity session when my brother and his wife were up to Wisconsin a while back. And tomorrow, it’s baby shower day for these two! Can’t wait to meet their little peanut!

As we’ve turned the page into September, I’ve definitely put my focus back into homeschooling our girls and all that entails… but I’m still working like crazy to finish up my summer work!

Grant’s session was such a blast, and I got to dust off techniques I haven’t used in a hot minute… these low-light, moody indoor portraits are simply amazing. And the best is yet to come!

But now for the hardest part, which version do you like better?

I was determined to get a sneak peek posted for and family. Today. Despite a temperamental computer and kids that have all but forgotten how to stay sleeping at this point. 😝 So today it is. Even if there’s only 20 minutes left of it. 😂

In other news, we had a nice time and felt grateful we could provide such a nice snack to thousands of mosquitoes that evening. 🦟
