The “old guys” are out of retirement!!

We have 13 girls from Camp Alice Chester with us this week! Most of these girls have only ever been led around on a horse. Today we took them on their first trail ride and had so much fun. If you are a WP lifer you may recognize these 3 dudes who are happily back at camp for the week! Sojen (Soldier Boy) Sweet Baboo (Boo Boo) Aldabrae (Bray Bray) 🐴❤️

A not so fun morning here at WP!

Bitsy and Sweetspots ended up getting into the barbwire fence last night, we believe possibly due to the storms with such loud thunder and close lightning strikes in our pastures. Thank you to Dr. Mike Grassland Veterinary Service for your speedy response time and fixing our girls up! The pair of sisters are now getting all the love and attention up at the barn. Hoping for easy recovery for both.

A little recap of our May when we weren’t in the saddle!

We added two new trail horses this year - Lily and Anthem! They both are so sweet and fit in perfectly with our herd. We also planted trees and flowers, had some corral repairs, and much more. (When you have a tornado go through it seems as though the cleanup and work NEVER ends) We are so happy with how everything is coming together. Little steps in the right direction!🐴

Horses are back!

Once again the Wilderness Pursuit Horseback Adventures will opening it’s gates to 2020.Warmer weather is coming back to the camp area and soon green summer pastures.

The trail horses are now in the shedding part of Spring. Guides outback today Sunday March 22nd and grooming and I am sure getting a mouth full. The winter diet of hay is getting old but round bales still needed for a few more weeks. A nice warm Spring shower will soon change that diet to tender,green grass!

Wilderness Pursuit guides will also be putting the tack room back in order and tack wiped clean of winter dust. The grain used for catching the horses taken back yesterday and ready to go...
