To all our valued Wilderness Pursuit clients and friends, I, Lynette, started this business in 1982 and over the past 42 years have made memories that will last a lifetime and have met some of the most wonderful people. I have organized and taken care of numerous groups that have came and stayed with us. I have spent countless unforgettable hours adventuring in the saddle with clients in the woods of Wisconsin and open lands of Wyoming.

I have been blessed to raise and own the most amazing riding horses and have had some of the best trail guides work for me. I have had the help of my two daughters, grandchildren, and friends throughout the years to help shape this business into what it has become.

My endless love for horses is why I started this business. I have one granddaughter that also shares this love. As of January 1st 2025, my granddaughter Brianna Oberle will officially be taking over Wilderness Pursuit Horseback Adventures and continuing this legacy. Let’s Ride!

Today was a pretty special day on the farm. Grandma Lynette’s mare Bottomline foaled (at age 25)!! This mare has produced some of our best trail horses in the past and we truthfully did not think we would ever get these bloodlines back up and running. While Grandma was at church this morning we discovered this sweet filly in the pasture! Got mama and baby settled in the barn - and waited to get the reaction from gma! She bet her mare was no longer cycling and there’s no way she would ever foal again (now owes Bri $100 dollars) The best day! We now have 4 foals on the farm this year and will update everyone with pictures soon. We’ve sure kept busy this summer and could not be happier! 🐴❤️

Special shout out and a BIG thank you to Rakovec trucking for always being so awesome while passing us as we venture down Chili Rd to get into the county forest. Today the driver even pulled over and shut off his rig while we passed.

We are experiencing more traffic this year than ever and are having to ride the road longer due to all the damage in the county. If you are traveling down Chili road please keep an eye out for us and slow down - most of the time we are trying to make a little cowgirl/cowboys dreams come true 🐴❤️

This past weekend we were so lucky to host the BEST bachelorette group ever! Bride Kate from Billings, MT and her gals joined us for an adventurous weekend here in Clark County!

The ladies enjoyed a delicious steak dinner with us, some wine, and spent the night in our cabins! Oh and they may have had some fun on the trails with our horses and guides. 🤠 Per some of our recommendations they also hit up Wedges Creek Hideaway for live music and ended their night at Shoes Bar in Willard.

Our riding trails in the Clark County Forest are a different story. A lot of damage and some trails impassable. We will continue to update!

Let’s Ride!

Horses are back!

Once again the Wilderness Pursuit Horseback Adventures will opening it’s gates to 2020.Warmer weather is coming back to the camp area and soon green summer pastures.

The trail horses are now in the shedding part of Spring. Guides outback today Sunday March 22nd and grooming and I am sure getting a mouth full. The winter diet of hay is getting old but round bales still needed for a few more weeks. A nice warm Spring shower will soon change that diet to tender,green grass!

Wilderness Pursuit guides will also be putting the tack room back in order and tack wiped clean of winter dust. The grain used for catching the horses taken back yesterday and ready to go...
