We are deeply sorry to hear about the passing of Mike Mathis, our beloved rodeo announcer for the last five years. His vibrant voice and passion for the sport touched many lives and will be missed by all. May cherished memories bring comfort to his family and friends during this difficult time.

This morning we woke up to the very sad news that we have lost Mike Mathis. Here at the Ute Stampede, Mike and Shan are family. Mike’s unique wit and delivery were very much a part of the Ute Stampede both in and out of the arena. He has been the voice of the Ute Stampede for 25+ years. So long that many of us have lost count. On this very sad day, our thoughts and prayers are with Shan and the rest of his family. God speed Mike! And “Helloooo Neephiiii!!!!!”
You will be missed.
