Kylan Owens is back at DeSoto Family Theatre starring as Ren McCormack in our upcoming production of FOOTLOOSE. Kick off your Sunday shoes and join us July 19-23 at The Gin at Nesbit! Tickets on sale soon.

Kylan is pumped to be returning back to Desoto Family Theatre where he was cast in a few shows but the one that started his connection with DFT was Bye Bye Birdie back in 2021 where he was nominated and won an Allie for Best Performance By A Male Dancer for the role of Conrad Birdie. Kylan has been singing and performing since he was 5. It started off with church plays under the direction of his Aunt Devon Tate and from there the love for live theatre and performing was awakened. He performed all over the world in Honolulu, Rome, Paris, & London as a kid singing in choir and dancing and teaching Michael Jackson at the age of 11. Since then, Kylan has stayed the course and continued to fulfill his purpose as a performer and understands that this is his passion. Kylan took a few years off from the stage and he’s excited and honored to be apart of DFT once more. Kylan will also be apart of the cast of Grease at Theatre Memphis in August in the role of Johnny Casino. Humbling himself before the Lord for He leads him and guides him is how Kylan stays true to himself. He wants to thank Ashley McCormack and her team for trusting him with this role and he’s ready to have a rocking good time! Other professional credits include: Cinderella (Prince Charming) DFT. Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Adrian) Playhouse on the Square. Mama Mia (Pepper) Theatre Memphis. Hairspray (Cool Kid) Theatre Memphis. Be More Chill (Ensemble) University of Memphis. School House Rock (Joe) Circuit Playhouse. Grease (Johnny Casino) Theatre Memphis.
