🍃As autumn sweeps through, we pause among the leaves and the neon sunsets to embrace our 10th year of FireFly weddings, and what a blessing each of our couples was to us. We get to see people love one another deeply! It is such a beautiful gift. Thank you for sharing your story with us, E&C! 🤍 We look ahead to all that’s meant for Season 11. 💞We were elated to celebrate with the Whiteside family last weekend as they honored Fred & Clara’s 70 years of marriage! Together, they’ve loved and lived, they’ve raised a big family, they’ve endured beauty and darkness, and over and over again they have committed their love and care to one another. These two are an incredible testimony of God’s love and grace working through us here on earth.

❤️🇺🇸 So many have died for the freedoms we enjoy, the freedoms we sometimes take for granted. May we acknowledge these great sacrifices with reflection, gratitude, compassion, awe, and hope, and may we live in pursuit of worthwhile endeavors in light of the precious gift of freedom we’ve been given!🙏🏻

🤍 We gathered to witness Nick & Shelly’s wedding ceremony, and while we were all aware of their love and happiness before that time, what we saw during that beautiful wedding day was rare; 💫God called their hearts to act on His part amidst time and space and obstacles, and they moved. Because they did, they have both realized and cultivated a depth of true gratitude, care, respect, and hope in themselves and in one another that is uncommon and truly magnificent to see. 🙏🏻They inspire us in their faith-filled love for each other and in their love for their family and friends.

🎵As Paul Stookey wrote in his song “Wedding Song (There is Love)” in 1969 - played during Nick & Shelly’s wedding, “He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts. Rest assured this troubadour is acting on His part. The union of your spirits, here, has caused Him to remain, for whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name, there is Love. There is Love.”✝️

🤍 10 years ago, we opened FireFly. It was a dream placed in us and so we began the arduous journey to create a wedding venue in a 1940’s dairy barn. It’s been thrilling, terrifying, amazing, and occasionally awful. It’s like anything in this life that’s really GOOD and worth all of the effort; like our faith, our family, our hobbies, it requires a lot of us, and it is a juxtaposition of positive and negative, of finding balance, of creating anew time and time again. With gratitude for what has been and with hope for a beautiful event season, we welcome 2024, our SEASON 10! Thank you to everyone who has supported our dream and even those who have attempted to shatter it. We’re here because of you all.🤍
