We love collaborating with folks in our community! Thank you Roots Rising for the opportunity to cook + play with your amazing cohort.

Did you know part of Roots Rising Farm Crews includes building culinary skills? This fall, our Farm Crew explored global flavors and food history with chef Farah Momen.

From learning kitchen basics like knife skills and time management to smelling spices from all over the world, Farah described the history and context for ingredients like cocoa and vanilla.

In the cozy kitchen at Holiday Brook Farm, the Crew made comfort foods from Bangladesh like khichuri as well as an orange flower blossom cake with chocolate pudding and chocolate ganache - all from scratch!

Always at Bondhu cafe (Thursdays, 12-6pm) - something savory, something sweet! Today, green tomato channa masala, spiced mash and chaat peanut carrot slaw make up our lunch bowl! Vegan chocolate banana bread and streusel coffee cake - with chai, of course - to finish with something sweet. 😘

In two Fridays, she joins us IN PERSON in the Bondhu kitchen where we will create a unique, meaningful, love-driven culinary journey - and YOU are cordially invited. ❤️

This collab is not only years in the making, but a natural evolution of the very type of community building and storytelling Bondhu seeks to foster. Thank you to Lucy and all of our Bondhu community for supporting this work.
