Sponsorship Opportunities available for NB roots & branches

The festival is entering its 3rd year under the Co Direction of Jeff Angeley and Christian Camarao. It has grown a strong following over the previous two years with an attendance level in the thousands and is set for an expansion again in 2025. Your support ensures the successful continuation of the long standing and very popular tradition of having a downtown New Bedford acoustic music festival in Summer. And, of course, our success and reach allows us the opportunity to share the excellent work your business does to a large, diverse population of people who follow and attend our festival.

Over the past few years, our team has built our unique take on the New Bedford Summer festival tradition. Ours is an event that is representative of the city’s many cultural communities, designed to be expansive and innovative in its offerings, and directly supportive and collaborative with the community it operates within. Following that recipe, last year’s event saw over 2000 attendees. This year, with an increase in stages and number of performers, we plan to exceed that by at least half. The format of our festival by and for the city has been enthusiastically embraced by many and allowed us to form a growing number of partnerships with curators and cultural partners. 2025’s roster of artist liaisons ensures this year’s festival will also become broader in the scope of who we can feature and reach.

We are proud to report our event has been spotlighted in traditional newspapers, on television, on digital papers and blogs, and on multiple radio stations in both 2023 and 2024. Due to growth and a multi-year record of success have significantly more media interest and appointments already lined up for coverage this year.

In 2025 we are in direct collaboration with Gallery X, Inc. who is acting as our fiscal sponsor and to whom any donation checks would be cut. We are also an official City of New Bedford event through our partnership with Explore New Bedford, the city’s tourism department. We consult with the city’s Creative Strategist, and have several independent local businesses functioning as a direct part of our event through donation of space. We’re hoping you’d also like to be a part of the success of our 3rd annual festival which is scheduled for July 18th and 19th, 2025.

Attention artists! We are taking submissions for the NB Roots and Branches Festival this year, as we know there are many talented local musicians we have yet to connect with. To apply to play the festival please fill out the form linked below. This form will be open until February 14th at 11:59 PM. Please know that we are a hyperlocal festival and submissions from outside of New England will not be considered without a connection to New Bedford, Massachusetts. If you have already emailed us to apply, we please ask that you fill out this form as well. While we will be reviewing all submissions, we are a small team and it will take time for us to get back to everyone. If you are not selected for this year's festival please know that we have carefully considered your submission, but have limited slots to offer. We appreciate the time and effort it takes to put together a submission, and hope that you will come enjoy the festival with us in July!

We're already gearing up for next year's festival, so stay tuned for more details! This year we had amazing performances from Southcoast Brass Band, Sleeping Turtle, Vudu Sister, and Hayley Sabella! We're looking forward to another year of great music!!

We can't believe its been almost two months since the NB Roots & Branches Festival. Our team is already hard at work planning the 2025 festival; coming up with bold and exciting ideas for an even bigger, more colorful event. Stay tuned for a date reveal in the upcoming weeks.

Did you have a chance to visit this lineup? It was one not to be missed with acts such as The Moldy Suitcases Molly O’Leary Music Fourteenstrings Breachway The Hot Club Cheese Roll & Roots Run Wild that kept the place hopping all day long with original live acoustic music !

When I tell you this would not have happened without these two wonderful people I need you to understand there is no hyperbole. I have no brain capacity to put together a longer post detailing the ways they made Roots&Branches happen and happen in a way that was wonderful. We just need to say this Lauren Pusey and Matt Pusey are Roots&Branches family and cornerstones to everything we did. We lack any capacity to thank them enough or at a scale that would be close to appropriate for their contributions!
