"Ground Zero" for the return of the New Bedford Metal Scene. Created by Transient Authority and assisted by the local metal community, those who stayed dedicated to metal even when all of the local venues closed.
2 Fridays a month will feature mixed heavy local and touring bands. At least 1 show a month is dedicated to ONLY metal. Curated by Jason Medina and the N.B. metal community. All concerts
are at Club X.S. 226 Union St. New Bedford Ma. converts the place to a live music venue featuring a stage. 2 P.A. Systems with monitors and subwoofers for kick drums. Capacity is 200+ while still maintaining an intimate vibe. Able to comfortably service both big draw nights and smaller shows (70 people still looks great). Venue is built with socializing in mind. Due to its length, you can talk, order drinks or buy merch with a normal speaking volume. We have a massive bar, a shot grrl, 2 lounge areas and a photo booth set-up. All shows feature film projection over 13ft across, above and directly behind the band. Exclusive film edits are made for each band, matching set lengths, mood and pacing. Our own Kuru8 provides this at no extra cost or extra work for the bands. Promotion is a mix of old school fliers and posters (designed and (provided by T.A.), current social networking sites and innovative trailer/video fliers by Kuru8. Films are dissected and rebuilt to back and enhance the music of the bands playing. Official band photographer Karolina Januzewski will be there making us all look good. Exclusive posters of her work will be available.
5$ cover on all nights. This is used to pay bands. Another benefit of these cover charges is an audience that is more attentive (to get their money's worth). Shows will average 3 to 4 bands a night so getting your money's worth is always possible. We offer tons of free passes to regulars and newcomers alike and most nights feature raffles for art work that is free with attendance. Come out and help us rebuild our music scene. Transient Authority will also be working with area bar venues to better service the music community with co-promotions calenders that don't clash. We also do birthday parties both public and private. Watch a provided film on our 13ft screen with your favorite people and listen to live music and Djs. We can provide cake and/or party favors.
