In celebration of Women’s History Month we are spotlighting a few of the women that contribute to the success of the Waypoint! Next up is Waypoint’s Sales Manager, Chelsey DeMoura. Chelsey joined the Waypoint team back in 2021 and is passionate about providing the best level of service to her clients. She believes the process of planning an event should be fun and stress free and strives to make her clients feel like they are working with a friend to plan their special day. As a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and a board member of New Bedford High School’s Academy of Hospitality & Tourism, she is also a huge advocate for teaching and inspiring the future generations of hospitality professionals to love this industry and all it has to offer 🤓🎉

This week, in celebration of Women’s History Month, we are spotlighting a few of the women that are crucial to the success of Waypoint. It is only fair to start with our beloved Kristy Roussel, the General Manager of both the Waypoint Event Center and the attached Fairfield Inn & Suites. Kristy is the perfect example of why having women in leadership is important to the success of any business. She is living proof that you can be strong and hold people accountable while also leading with love and compassion- those qualities are not mutually exclusive. In fact, she has taught me that combining all of those leadership qualities often yields the best results from the staff we manage. It is often an over complicated thing but in its simplest form- lead with love and you will get love back. Our hotel and event center would not be what it is today without you setting the tone for the rest of us. Forever grateful and proud to call you my boss 🥰

March is Women's History Month and to finish the month (and lead up to our 69th Easter Anniversary at White's of Westport on Sunday) we will be recognizing some of the amazing women who make our businesses thrive! Today, we wanted to start by stepping back in time and remembering our Amazing Founder, Rita Lafrance. Fall River’s Most Gracious Hostess for over 60 years, she would be so proud of our women leaders for carrying on her tradition of great food and service, with a smile. Six years after her passing, not a day goes by without a mention of a Grammy story. We miss you Grammy!! ❤️

It’s a beautiful day here at the Waypoint Event Center! This morning we hosted our friends at Bristol County Savings Bank for their annual charitable foundation event! So lovely getting to see so many incredible nonprofits in the greater New Bedford area receive recognition and donations to continue their efforts in our community. It was such a feel good event to start our morning off right!!!
