The Norwich City Police Department is investigating an assault on an officer of the Norwich City Police Department that occurred on Monday, February, 20, 2023 at 8:47 p.m. at the Stewarts Shop located at 4823 NYS 23 in the Town of Norwich. The suspect driver is a W/M, wearing a baseball cap, with a black Puma Hoody, dark pants and was seen driving a white Chevy sedan with out of state plates. The vehicle was last travelling east on NYS 23 toward So. New Berlin. The passenger with the suspect was Jesse Dann. The Police Department is asking for the public to view the photo of the male in the Puma hoody and call the police department at 607-334-1212.
