Open today the 16th until 5
We are open until 5 o’clock today, Saturday the 16th. Admission is free and cut your own sunflowers are a dollar each. This may be the only day we are going to open for sunflowers this year.
Hello everyone! We are going to open up today (Saturday) from noon-5pm. We’ve been contemplating on whether to open up or not because our sunflower production is low due to all the massive amounts of rain we’ve gotten this summer. We don’t want anyone to be disappointed and/or leave any bad google reviews but we have some flowers and figured we’d open. The mosquitoes are vicious too, so make sure to bring bug spray. There’s no admission fee this year and the sunflowers are $1.00 each. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. 🌻
There aren’t any of the games set up yet and the corn maze isn’t opened yet, because that is still too wet. We are hoping that it be all dried up by October
This has been a hard season for us and because of the unstable Michigan weather this will be our last season open.
We are open today until 5. Free admission and dollar cut your own sunflowers.
We are open today until five. Admission is free and sunflowers are a dollar each for cut your own. This will probably be the only day we are open to the public this year for the sunflowers. The corn maze will be opening in October.
Good day everybody. We were able to drain a lot of the water out of the pond and when we did that the fields started draining as well. Right now we have sunflowers available for you to purchase. They are a dollar each and we will cut them for you and have them ready if you want to pick up. The mosquitoes back there are almost unbearable. The field is going to be sprayed later this afternoon and hopefully within a day or so, the problem will be under control and we will be able to have you come out and cut your own flowers if you want. There will be no admission fee this year, and we are charging a dollar per flower to cut your own.
The property is available right now for private photography rentals at the discounted rate of $25 an hour.
As you can see the corn maze is growing in nice with the exception of the areas that have standing water. We are going to be out there over the next few days trying to drain that water off of the corn maze. If that goes well, we are going to open up the corn maze for the nighttime flashlight Maze starting every weekend in October weather permitting. Those tickets will have to be pre-purchased through our website which we will post a link to when we have all of our times and everything finalized.
We are sorry about the delay this year. This weather has really killed the flower season for us. Hopefully September and October brings a lot of dry weather so you can come out and try this corn maze. Doing the corn maze at night is a really cool unique experience.
This first field of sunflowers are almost in full bloom. We were hoping to take the areas that did not grow and fill them in with various props/tractors to make for nice photos. Our 2nd and 3rd field that have not began to bloom are under water as well. They should not bloom for a few weeks anyway because they were planted much later.
If this first field drains in the next few days (doubtful) we may open for photos. We will not charge you if you want to come out for photos because the field is not grown in like the past 2 years, but with all this water we dont think we will be able to open at all. We will keep you advised and will announce it here if we can open the sunflowers in the next few days.
We originally planned on the corn maze opening September 9th but we will have to see what happens. Looks like more rain in the future. We know this is not the news you wanted to hear and it is news we didnt want to give. 😢
Hopefully we get a lot of dry weather in the near future so we can open up in September like we had planned. As you can see from this video, we were not lucky enough to dodge the storm last night and it put our sunflowers and corn maze underwater again.
We will definitely keep you posted on the status of everything and hope we can have at least somewhat of a season for you.
The maze is starting to come along nice. It is going to be beautiful and the design is totally different from last year (can you tell what it is yet). Here it is today as you can see it filling in. Tickets will go on sale soon for the night time flashlight corn maze. This is perfect for the person who wants the thrill of halloween without the fear of being chased around. We only sell a small number of tickets each night for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday night time maze so be sure to purchase early.
Please contact us if you would like to book the maze for a private group. Having the maze exclusively for you and your friends is something you will remember for years to come.
We are waiting to see how the sunflowers grow. We have had massive amounts of rain hit us shortly after planting each section. We are anticipating the flowers that survived blooming the first couple of weeks of September. We will keep you posted.
Good news. This morning’s rain we were supposed to get missed us. The field was dry enough that we were able to work it up and get the first part planted with sunflowers.
The concerning part is, what looked mini tornado blowing through the field a few hours after planting it. We think it will be just fine. We are looking forward to seeing you in September. Wait until you see the new maze design. You will love it.
The grounds are prepped and ready to be planted. We are still shooting for mid June to plant the corn maze and sunflowers. With any luck we should be able to open late August or early September. We have some new things to keep the kids entertained this year.
If you are looking for a fundraiser for your team/group/organization think about doing one at corn maze or by selling sunflowers. Contact us for info.
We have a new, exciting and challenging maze design this year so be sure to follow our page for updates.
