I had an absolute blast choreographing this non-traditional mother/son wedding dance. These two were SO FUN to work with, and when they told me their vision for their dance I was super pumped! Cody and Malena killed it, and watching how much fun they performing this was truly magical!💙

Hey there, everyone!

I’ve missed you guys! Although I haven’t been busy posting here, I have still had the opportunity to work with some sweet clients since our last post, have a few new clients coming up that I’m looking forward to working with, and have been BUSY with lots of new things!

So here is a little life update from me:

I’ve been the dance director at Canyon Lake High School for the past 8 years. I loved my time at CL, and my time there is actually what truly inspired the start of Spin Me Sweet. Last year, I decided that I would begin working on my Master’s in Educational Leadership to become a school administrator, and through a series of events that I can only credit God for, I was blessed to accept an Assistant Principal position at a middle school in my district at the end of the school year. I’ve been loving my new role, and have been able to continue getting my “dance fix” through working with clients here, teaching adult dance classes at local studio, judging, choreographing, and getting to be involved and offer a hand to the dance community in a new way. It’s been a whirlwind, but I feel incredibly blessed and grateful for all the amazing opportunities.

We are encroaching on a busy wedding season here in Texas, and I look forward to working with all the sweet new couples who choose for Spin Me Sweet to be a part of their big day🤍

Finally got my own *personal* wedding photos in, so wanted to share with y’all a few of my fave shots from our first dance!

This will be a memory I will cherish forever! I was so happy to have an amazing photographer and videographer that day/evening to help capture all these special moments to I can re-live them forever!

We are pumped to have a couple nee client sessions coming up soon, and can’t wait to see their precious videos and pictures post-wedding as well!💙

Hello! My name is Kara Jenkins! When I started this small business my last name was Endsley, but since I married my favorite guy June 11th of this year in the most beautiful place- I’m now a Mrs and the happiest newlywed there ever was!

I started this gig as a way to help couples feel confident about their first dance on their wedding day. Dance has been a huge part of my life since I was 6 years old, and after many years of dancing through middle school, high school, and college- I am currently the dance director at Canyon Lake High School where I direct 3 teams, 2 of which are co-ed ballroom teams.

Although my initial passion was in dance/drill team, I was lucky enough to land a position at a school with that and more. I have the sweetest team members and students who inspire me to do and be better- they have helped continue to grow my passion for dance, and allowed me to explore a newer-found passion for ballroom and partner dancing which is the base and foundation of Spin Me Sweet.

Ever since I could remember, I looked forward to that special moment with my husband. Being a dancer most of my life, I always pictured what that moment would look like, but it wasn’t until I got closer to the moment myself where I really started to think about the logistics of a first dance and how I, as a dance person, would have no issue choreographing and memorizing something, but that my husband would also have to learn and I’d be the one who would need to teach him.

I quickly realized that not every couple has the luxury of having a person in the relationship who can choreograph a first dance for them, or even if they do- they may not feel as confident teaching their significant other footwork that they themselves aren’t used to doing as the opposite dance role.

Although Spin Me Sweet is not my full time job, it is a huge passion of mine, and I feel so grateful to work with the amazing clients that choose to trust me with such a special part of their day. Getting to enjoy watching sweet couples connect and bond even deeper through our process of learning their dance is truly special🤍
