Last night’s dinner party dessert: pears poached in cab Sauvignon, orange, and cinnamon, with a chocolate and wine reduction sauce. There’s probably a better name for all of that.

Quick announcement for people who eat, or like food:

In 2022 I'll be offering a mobile catering service ideal for house concerts, outdoor shows, backyard bashes, real upbeat funerals--wherever folks need food.

It’ll be Southern-inspired comfort: think grilled pimento cheese sandwiches with barbecued pork. Smoked things. Pickled things. And super-fresh things from farms and suppliers here in Connecticut.

It’s sort of a food truck without the truck: it's more of a canopy situation, with Willie Nelson on the radio and amazing smells on the breeze. Folks can walk up, order, and jam a short rib sandwich down their gullets, all without having to find a spot to put down their beer. There's magic in that.

I'm excited to finally launch this (after a hard restart last month) and can't wait to cook for you all. I already have a few events booked, and there will be a mad scramble to round up gear and supplies on a zero budget. Cart before the horse has always been my style.
