Tiny Twist/Miniature Pretzels (about 100)
1 stick unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons half and half
1 tsp vanilla extract

Place a peice of parchment paper on a baking pan and lightly grease it. Arrange the pretzels on the parchment paper so that the sides of pretzels are touching. Cover the whole pan. Melt the butter in a medium sized saucepan on top the stove on medium heat. Add the white granulated sugar, brown sugar, and the maple syrup. Mix together. Add the cinnamon and the half and half. Mix and bring to a hard boil stirring often. Let it boil and cook until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat, add the vanilla extract, then stir. 🎄🎄Little Debbie Christmas Tree Crack🎄🎄

Saltine crackers (about 48)
1 cup light brown sugar
2 sticks unsalted butter
1 block softened cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
4 cups powdered sugar
1 cup marshmallow fluff
3 cups white morsels (divided)
red food coloring
green sugar crystals
coconut oil (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking pan with foil and lightly grease. Put down single layers of crackers filling the entire baking pan. Make sure the crackers are touching. In a sauce pan, melt butter on medium heat and add brown sugar. Mix well. Once the mixture reaches a boil, let it boil for 3 minutes stirring constantly so it doesn't burn. It will thicken. Carefully pour the hot mixture evenly on top of the crackers then spread using a spatula. Work quickly before it starts to cool. Put the crackers in the oven for 5 minutes. To make the cream filling, mix the cream cheese, vanilla, salt, powdered sugar, and marshmallow fluff. After 5 minutes, remove the crackers from the oven. Let cool for a few minutes, then spread a layer of filling on top of the crackers. Melt 2 cups of white morsels in the microwave on 50% power. Check and stir often. Don't overcook. Adding a splash of coconut oil helps the morsels get a smooth consistency. Pour and spread a layer of the melted chips on top the cream filling. It's ok if some of the filling mixes in with the melted morsels. Sprinkle with green sugar crystals immediately while the morsels are still hot. Let cool, then put in the freezer for 3 or 4 hours. Please note that the cream filling won't freeze completely. Remove from freezer, then break up the crackers into pieces. I try to break it along the lines of the crackers. Melt a cup of white morsels in the microwave on 50% power. Mix in red food coloring. I used a disposable piping bag and Wilton tip #5 to pipe on the red stripes on each piece resembling the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes. Put back in the freezer for the red stripes to harden. Keep them frozen until ready to serve. These are a little messier to eat then regular Christmas crack because of the filling, but they are so good! Enjoy! 🎅

Gingerbread Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting

🎄Cream Cheese Frosting🎄

1 stick of unsalted butter, softened
8 oz block of cream cheese
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 tsp of salt
4 to 5 cups of powdered sugar(start with 4 cups, add more if needed)

⛄️Gingerbread⛄️

3/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened
1 cup of brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup of molasses
2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
2 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp of ground cloves
1 tsp of ground ginger
1/4 tsp of salt
Optional: sugar crystals and Christmas sprinkles

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bottom of a 9x13 cake pan, set aside. Beat the butter and brown sugar together. Add the egg and molasses. Mix. Next, add the baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt. Mix. Slowly add the flour and beat until a dough forms. Press the dough into the baking pan evenly. Bake for about 15 minutes. Baking times may vary. Don't over bake. You want them to be soft and chewy like a brownie. Cool completely, use a spatula around the inside to seperate the brownies from the sides of the pan. Cut into squares. To make the frosting, beat the butter and cream cheese together. Add the vanilla and salt. Mix. Slowly add the powdered sugar and mix until light and fluffy. I used decorating tip 1M and piped each square with cream cheese frosting then topped them with red sugar crystals and Christmas sprinkles. Enjoy!

😋 Loaded Potato Salad Bites

*15 to 17 small gold potatoes
*4 boiled eggs
*1/2 cup mayo(maybe more)
*1 tsp mustard(maybe more)
*cooked crumbled bacon
*diced green onions
*shredded cheese
*garlic powder
*seasoning
*salt

Put 4 eggs boiling. Next, remove any bad areas from the potatoes, then rinse, dry, and drizzle with olive oil and salt. Bake on a foil lined baking pan for 45 to 55 minutes at 350 degrees. Baking times may vary. Let slightly cool, then scoop out most of the potatoes from each and set aside in a bowl. You want to leave about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of potatoes on the skin. Sprinkle a little shredded cheese inside the potatoes. Once the eggs are done, let cool, peel, then cut in half. Remove and smash the yolks in a bowl. Chop up boiled egg whites, then set aside. Add mayo, mustard, salt, garlic powder, and seasoning to the mashed yolks. Mix. Add about a 1/2 of the mashed potatoes that you previously scooped out. Next, add a little shredded cheese, cooked/chopped bacon, diced green onions, and chopped egg whites. Save some bacon, cheese, and green onions for garnish. Add extra mayo and mustard if need be. If it's too creamy, you can add a little more potatoes. Get it to the consistency that you prefer. Fill a Ziploc with the mixture, then cut one corner of the bag to make it easier to stuff the potatoes. Garnish with extra bacon, shredded cheese, green onions, and seasoning. Enjoy!

Made this dessert yesterday for Thanksgiving. Would make a great Christmas dessert, too!🎄

Queen Anne Cordial Cherry Dip with Cinnamon Sugar Pie Crust Chips 🍒

Dip:
1 block cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup marshmallow fluff
1 small container cool whip, thawed
1 can cherry pie filling
1 box Queen Anne cordial cherries
mini chocolate chips

Cinnamon Sugar Pie Crust Chips:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 box premade pie dough(2 sheets per box)
1 egg
1 tablespoon water

Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, marshmallow fluff, and cool whip together. Put mixture in shallow dish and spread evenly. Top with a layer of cherry pie filling, then chopped cordial cherries, and mini chocolate chips. Save 3 chocolate covered cherries for garnish. Refrigerate.

Roll out both 9in round dough sheets. For Thanksgiving I used leaf cookie cutters, but for Christmas you could use a snowman, Santa hat, reindeer, Christmas tree, etc. Cut out the shapes. Beat 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of water together. Set aside. In a bowl mix the granulated sugar and the cinnamon together. Spread egg wash on top of the dough pieces then sprinkle with cimmanon sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 to 14 minutes. Cooking times may vary. Bottoms should be slightly brown when done. Enjoy!

Cajun Turkey & Jalapeno Popper Sliders

9 Hawaiian Sweet Buns
4oz softened cream cheese
1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
1 whole diced jalapeno
1/4 cup chopped green onions
6 strips of cooked crumbled bacon
seasoning
deli meat of choice
4 tablespoons melted butter

Cut 9 Hawaiian Sweet Buns in half horizontally and put the bottoms in a 8x8 baking pan. Mix together 4oz of softened cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, one whole diced jalapeno, 1/4 cup chopped green onions, 6 strips of cooked crumbled bacon, and a little seasoning. Make 9 small cream cheese patties and put one on top of each bottom bun. You can use any type of deli meat, but my favorite is Cajun Turkey. If you have left over turkey or ham after Thanksgiving dinner, you could use that instead. Cut the meat to fit the bun, then put a few pieces on top of the cream cheese patties. Place the top buns on the deli meat, and pour 4 tablespoons of melted butter on top the sliders. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes. Cover with foil and continue to bake for about 5 more minutes. Cooking times may vary. The Hawaiian buns should be a golden brown and the cheese should be melty.. Enjoy!

🎄🎅Peppermint & White Chocolate Popcorn Ornaments 🎅🎄

1 1/2 bags simply salted popped popcorn
(Remove all unpopped kernels)
10 oz mini marshmallows
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup white chocolate baking chips
3/4 tsp pepperoni extract
Christmas sprinkles
mini candy canes
red or green ribbon (optional)
cupcake liners(optional)
Crisco for mixing

Pop two bags of simply salted popcorn. You will use 1 1/2 bags. Make sure to remove any unpopped kernels. Together in a microwaveable safe bowl melt the marshmallows and the butter together for about 2 minutes. Mix. Melt the white chocolate on 50% power in the microwave mixing every once in a while. Combine the melted chocolate and the melted marshmallow mixture together, then add the peppermint extract and mix well. Pour on top of the popcorn. I use disposable gloves with a little Crisco and hand mix it. Add sprinkles and mix together. Form the popcorn into 8 to 10 balls and place on wax paper. Press a mini candy cane into the top of each ball, and tie a ribbon around it(optional). I like to place my popcorn ornaments on top of a cupcake liner. These make a fun Christmas snacktivity! 🎄⛄️🎅

🎄Beef Wellington Christmas Wreath🎄

Ingredients:
*2 boxes frozen puff pastry sheets (2 sheets per box) Note: We will use 3 sheets.
*olive oil
*6 petite filet mignon steaks
*prosciutto
*Italian cheese, shredded
*salt/black pepper

Mushroom Mixture:
*3 tablespoons butter
*1 small yellow onion(diced)
*8 oz baby Bella mushrooms(chopped)
*4 tsp garlic(minced)
*1/2 cup red wine
*1 tsp fresh basil(chopped)

Egg Wash:
*2 eggs
*1 tablespoon water

Toppings:
*mustard sauce(see ingredients below)
*fried prosciutto(chopped)
*green onions(chopped)

Mustard sauce:
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon deli mustard
3 tablespoons sour cream
3 tablespoons mayo
1/2 tsp minced
salt/pepper

Thaw out 3 sheets of frozen puff pastry dough on the counter for about 45 minutes. After thawed, unfold and cut along the seams making 3 strips per sheet. We only use 8 strips of dough out of the 9. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Saute onions and mushrooms in the butter. Add the garlic, basil, and wine. Stir. Once the wine is cooked out, remove from heat. This takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Set aside.

Arrange your strips of dough on a slightly greased round 16in pizza pan. (See picture in comments)

Coat 6 petite filet mignon steaks with a small amount of olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides. Sear each side on a skillet using a little more olive oil. The steaks will continue to cook in the oven.

In the middle of the arranged dough, place a layer of prosciutto down first, then the mushroom mixture, shredded Italian cheese next, then the steaks. Make egg wash by beating 2 eggs with 1 tablespoon of water. Spread egg wash on the top inside center of the dough. Fold pastry strips over and press down on the egg washed dough in the center. Press all seams together. Spread egg wash over the dough. Using a knife, poke small holes on top going around the top of the pastry dough. This helps release steam. Bake for about 40 minutes. Baking times may vary. Once out the oven, let rest for about 10 minutes, then drizzle with mustard sauce, and top with pieces of fried prosciutto(a little olive oil and chopped prosciutto in a skillet), and chopped green onions. Note: Baking times may vary depending on the size of the steaks you use, but it will take the pastry about 40 minutes to cook. The petite filet mignon steaks work well.

The Frosted Apron: Design, Create, and Celebrate

My name is Stacey LeBlanc Dempsey and I opened The Frosted Apron in January of 2017 with the desire to share my love for cake decorating with the Acadiana community. My venue offers cake decorating parties for all ages, along with cake, cookie, and cupcake classes. My shop is the perfect space for birthday parties, ladies night out, office outings, bridal/baby showers, field trips, Christmas parties and so much more. I have baked cakes as a hobby for over 10 years and fell in love with the art of cake decorating. I opened my business to give others the opportunity to explore their creative side, while celebrating their special moments in life. I absolutely love what I do, and I believe a beautiful life is created one sweet moment at a time. I look forward to meeting new people every day, and getting the chance to make their birthday, or whatever they are celebrating a memory they won’t forget! Thanks for the support you all have shown me! Let’s put on our aprons and let the fun begin!
