I'm sure you all know that Fridays On Fifth is happening tonight rain or shine here in New Kensington.

PRESERVING is hosting a free concert with a local oldies and rock cover band you may know called American Pie.

It's indoors in our new concert venue in the chapel of the former Salvation Army building.

We have finalized our liquor license so there will be a full bar open as well as chairs provided... not to mention we are indoors and the AC will be cranked!

The band will be playing all your favorites from the 50s, 60s and 70s from 5:30-8:30.

Who’s ready for SPRING?

City of New Kensington Recreation Commission is excited to announce the return of Fridays On Fifth!! Our monthly food truck event will resume April 22! The event is planned for the 4th Friday of the month from 5-9 pm and will run through September this year. Fifth Avenue and a portion of 10th Street will be closed to vehicle traffic as we fill it with various food trucks, fun, and YOU! We are grateful that once again, Voodoo Brewing Co. - New Kensington Pub will be the event cosponsor and will provide the LIVE music!

The response last season was overwhelming! Thank you for coming down and supporting the downtown shops and businesses while trying some awesome food and enjoying live music!

Today is the final day for the Sanctuary Of Horror event! Early matinee double header for the family of Ernest Scared Stupid and Monster Squad and another session this evening with possibly the best movies of the bunch to be viewed in a church: Suspiria and Phantasm!
