Over the 4th of July weekend I was able to get out on the water and do some more fun fishing just for the love of the sport. Checked out a bunch of areas I’ve never tried in some familiar waters and found some decent keeper sized bass. Caught a bunch more but just took pictures of the keeper sized. I really need to get my go pros out to make taking pictures when I’m by myself easier. I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th 🇺🇸🎣

Went out yesterday with a buddy just for FUN. Wasn’t pre fishing for anything, prepping for a future tournament, nothing but going out to have fun fishing. We had a great time and managed to catch a couple in the meantime. Sometimes I forget how much fun fishing is, and should be, every time I get an opportunity to go out.

I fished the American Bass Anglers Illinois Division 39 tournament this weekend and did not have a very good showing. I was able to weigh a limit but I could not find the right bites. I caught a bunch of fish but they were all like the one in my left hand in the picture. Hopefully I will be able to figure things out for the next one.

First American Bass Anglers Illinois Division 39 of 2024 is in the books. I ended up finishing in 5th place. It was great to get the season started and I can’t wait for the next.

Got my 2024 jersey today from Sublime Wear USA. This year I went with hooded jerseys (I get multiple for those multiday tournaments). I was finally able to get on the water this weekend. After moving graphs around, installing the Hennessey Outdoor Electronics power harness, and an LithiumHub Ionic starter battery over the winter I got everything working as it should. I even had some time to make a few casts and put the first couple bass in the boat for 2024. Can’t wait to get the 2024 American Bass Anglers Illinois Division 39 season started in just a couple weeks. I was able to make it out to the Chicagoland Fishing, Travel & Outdoor Expo on Friday. Saw Bizz Baits pro Louis Monetti at the Hawg Trough, spent a little time at the Bizz Baits booth and grabbed some baits in preparation for the 2024 season. It was great to chat with the Bizz Batis team and see a couple friends at the show.

If you’re in the market for a truck bed cover, look no further. Peragon truck bed covers are the best out there. I am on my second one (two different trucks) and will always have on on any future truck. With 100 days to return it if you’re not 100% satisfied, there really is no reason not to give them a try.
