Abdul Johnson aka J.A.B.S. had a breakout night at the 2014 Whalies, taking home Music Video of the Year, Hip Hop/R&B Video of the Year and being named Breakthrough Artist of the Year. 2014 Whalie Award Nominees: The Full List

The full list of nominees has been announced for the 5th Annual Whalie Awards. Local rapper Streetcode Danj has received 9 nominations, the most in Whalies history! Hayze has received 8 nominations and Pocket Vinyl, J.A.B.S. and Camacho all received 7 nominations. Franc Grams has 6 nominations and Fatal Film, Carl Franklin, Slander, Daphne Lee Martin, Erik Lamb and newcomers Brian J and Kathianna music all received 5 nominations. There are 39 awards this year, making it the biggest Whalies ever!

The full list of nominations for the 39 categories in the 2014 Whalie Awards is here! The Whalies take place Saturday, June 7th at 6pm at the Hygienic Art Park.
