While I was away from the gram lol I had a chance to judge the students pop-up concept and it was such a wonderful time seeing their ideas and the excitement in their voices as they talked about their pop-up ideas. Super excited to see the winning teams concept come to life. 🥰 thank you .professor for the invite.

Our students just presented their incredible pop-up restaurant pitches, showcasing the creativity and skills they’ve developed over their time at NOCHI! From menu design to budgeting and concept ex*****on, this project was a labor of love from each of our groups.⁠

This year we took things up a notch and had them pitch in McIlhenny Hall to not only their peers and instructors, but also an esteemed panel of judges. We want to give a HUGE thank you to them for taking the time to provide invaluable feedback to each group:⁠

It is an incredible honor to be apart of celebrating the opening of THE
Mrs. Chase’s sheer grit was a driving force in me never giving up on what felt like a silly dream.
A dream from a woman with no culinary background and no kitchen experience. All I had was a deep desire to learn and a heart set on being the best. Nearly 10 years later I’m that and then some 😌. Gotta talk my talk because it’s almost Virgo season 🤣. I hope to see your beautiful faces this Saturday 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼. Thank you .blairisms for calling on me to be apart of history in the making.

This menu is an ode to corner stores in New Orleans! Where you might find boiled turkey necks, gumbo, Po boys and lo mein all in the same place. Growing up in New Orleans I would head straight to the corner store after school and get my fix. I’m always inspired by this city and my childhood to bring together what I’ve known and what I know.
