Athenian first place winners: Kassidy Richmond champion of 145 going 4-0 at the speedway invitational and Jazmin Russell champion of 170 going 4-0. Richmond now has a record of 9-0 and Russell now has a record of 8-1!

We placed 3rd as a team in the first ever Girls Marion County.

4 champions, 1 runner-up, a 3rd place, a 4th place, a 5th place, and a 6th place finisher.

Auna McCarty is our first female Marion County Champion!
The Lady Hornets had a great showing at the first Marion County Tournament finishing 4th as a team on the day, despite missing a few weights.

It was a great weekend for Indiana Girls wrestling at the 2024 Wild Wild MidWest National Duals. 8 different teams competed and had fun. At the end of the weekend your team champs were the Indiana Inferno going 6-0 on the weekend. A big thanks to @breyden_bailey for taking a shot on the girls and giving them their own tournament.

IGW, would like to wish the very best of skill to all Indiana girl wrestlers competing this year whether it be at the collegiate, high school, junior high or elementary level.
