Let's kick off the week by getting in the holiday spirit! The NPHS band was hard at work this morning prepping for their Winter Concert this evening. Pre Concert starts at 6:45 and concert at 7pm in the NPHS Auditorium. Come join us for an evening of beautiful music and a lot of talent.

***REMINDER - our meeting is TONIGHT (12/9/24) before our band performance. We will meet at 5:30 in the cafeteria and pizza will be provided.

We would love to invite YOU to our next Band Booster Meeting! We will be meeting on Monday, December 9th at 5:30 in the cafeteria of the High School. Since we are meeting around dinnertime, we will be providing pizza for all in attendance. We will make sure to be wrapped up in time to watch our amazing students perform!

***UPDATE*** Shirt orders have been extended through MIDNIGHT on Tuesday, December 3rd. These shirts are being sold at COST and will be delivered before the holidays.

***Shirts are in and will be given to band directors tomorrow. If you did not order one, but would like to have a shirt, we have ordered extras and they are available at cost. Please email Melissa at [email protected] to schedule a time for pickup. Payment needs to be cash or check (made out to New Prague Band Boosters).

We are excited to share that Trojan Bands now have our own apparel! These student-designed shirts will be available through the month of November. Short-sleeved shirts are $15 and long-sleeved shirts are $20. When you order through the provided link, shipping will be free, just specify which band director/ school you would like your shirts delivered to and band directors will distribute shirts before winter break. If you would like to order a shirt as a gift and do not want to keep the shirt a secret OR you are a community member, you can choose "Raven Stream - other" and you will be contacted when the shirts are in to arrange a time to pick the shirt up at Raven Stream.

We were honored to be part of the Veteran’s Day program today, along with our friends in the !!

Special shout out to seniors Anthony and Jericho for their wonderful job honoring the Veterans who are no longer with us with their Echo Taps performance.

Very proud of our NINE NPHS students who represented our band and school at the Loras College Honor Band today! Many of our students even were featured soloists throughout the concert!

Cool connection: Mr Pohland’s dad is the band director at Loras and the students also got to work with Dr Nolan Hauta from the University of Dubuque!

Congratulations to seniors Kenzy and Anthony who represented the NPHS band program at the University of St Thomas Honor Band this past Friday!

They had the privilege of working with Maestro Dario Sotelo from Brazil, as well as working with Dr Matthew George (Mr Pohland’s college band director!) and the entire studio faculty at St Thomas!

Friday was a great day!!! Great parade, pep band and halftime show!!! Thanks to all parent volunteers who helped serve pizza and big shout out to the NPAS Band Boosters for providing the pizza!!!

Thanks for asking! Yes, you can be an athlete and be in band! One example are these two wonderful NPHS band members who play football in the fall and still marched our half time show with us last night!

It’s been a crazy busy week for Homecoming 2024, but we still had 8 wonderful musicians represent New Prague High School at the Metro West All Conference Honor Band!!

We are so proud of each of these musicians for being chosen for this special honor!

Special shout out to Chanhassen High School for hosting, and .perrine for being a wonderful guest conductor (and composer!!!)!
