POSITION
Route Driver / Service Technician
New Roads, Louisiana
Drug Free – Alcohol Free Work Environment
REQUIREMENTS
- Medium Duty Truck Experience
- Valid LA License Class D Drivers License (Chauffeurs) or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire date
- Clean Driving Record
- TWIC / OSHA BOP a plus
- Must be 21 years or older
• Excellent Driving Skills capable of safely operating and following safety rules, speed limits & driving instructions in all types of traffic, on job sites and in industrial facilities.
• Able to bend, climb, twist, lift, carry, push, pull 70lbs+ multiple times throughout the daily shift.
• Able to drive long distances and climb in and out of truck throughout the daily shift.
• Driving knowledge of Pointe Coupee, East and West Baton Rouge and East and West Feliciana Parishes and surrounding area. Must be able to follow a route schedule, use a GPS or a maps phone app.
• Must show up on time, be a self-starter, flexible to change, a team player, motivated, accountable and have good communication and documentation skills.
• Must have a personable and professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.
• Able to manage and maintain routes in a timely, efficient, dependable and independent fashion.
• Able to work in ALL weather conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
• Vacuuming, Pressure Washing and Sanitizing Portable Restrooms, Hand Wash Stations and Holding Tanks in preparation for Delivery / Pickups.
• Vacuuming, Washing, Sanitizing and Stocking 15-50 units to a professional standard on daily scheduled route.
• Keep accurate paperwork records.
• Maintain regular and efficient communication skills with route supervisor and management.
• Loading and Unloading Units from trucks at work yard and on job site.
• Inspecting and Repairing Units on yard and on route as needed. Operate hand tools and pressure washer.
• Keep truck, work yard and job sites in neat, organized, orderly state.
• Maintain truck maintenance records and report all mechanical and operational issues immediately.
• General labor as needed on yard.
• Hourly Rate. Discussed Upon Interview and Depending Upon Experience.
• 30-40 Hours per week. Some overtime possible.
• Some Holiday and Weekend work required.
