Thank you to the ones that came out last night to celebrate Christmas with the Youth Circle 57. It was a small turnout but the ones that did come, had a lot of fun playing games, doing crafts and, of course, telling Santa what they wanted for Christmas.

Come out to SNPJ Lodge 603 this Saturday, December 16th for a fun night. Youth Circle 57 will be hosting a Christmas Carnival for crafts and games for all at 6 PM. There will be pizza for everyone. Santa will be there passing handing out the gifts and you can get your child's picture taken with him. Please bring a wrapped gift with your child's name on it for Santa to give to your child. The Youth Circle asks that if you can, please bring a beanie and/or gloves for the homeless. Hope to see you there.

HELP!!!! I (Cindy) need help Monday morning, September 4th to set up for our Labor Day Picnic. I need a tent set up, bounce house set, tables and chairs brought out and set up. Mark your calendars for our Labor Day picnic. September 4th noon - 6 PM. We will have a bluegrass/country jam session with Salty Grass band. Bring your instruments and jam with the crew. We will be supplying the meat (fish & hot dogs), beer and soda. There will be liquor available to purchase. Bring a side dish to share with everyone. Bring your corn hole boards and let's get a tournament going. There will be a bounce house for the kids. A good old fashioned picnic filled with fun and friendship

Today is the last day to get your reservations in for the Father's Day Breakfast tomorrow morning. We want to make sure we have enough food for everyone. Give Cindy a call 386-689-9454. Time is running out. The Youth circle will be serving scrambled eggs, pancakes, french toast casserole, hash browns, biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage, bacon, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, orange juice and Caprisun for the kiddies. We will also have mimosas for those of you that like a little zip to your orange juice. See you in the morning.

Looking for a real good smash burger? Make sure you go to Big Mike’s Burgers on West Canal Street. Had lunch there today and I had the best smash burger that I have ever had. They have a variety of burgers, hot dogs and much more. I will definitely be returning soon for another great smash burger. By the way, the three that were working today are all Samsula graduates and one of them is the owner. Stop by and say hi and get yourself a great burger.

Volusia County’s Community Assistance Division will provide free breakfast and lunch meals to children ages 18 and under at 63 sites across the county from June 5 to August 11. The Summer Food Service Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, provides nutritionally balanced meals during summer break when schools are closed.

BANANA PUDDING BROWNIES ~ 😋😋
24 vanilla wafers
Filling:
8 oz cream cheese
1 box vanilla pudding
1/3 cup milk
2 TBSP banana extract
2 eggs
Brownies:
2 cups brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup melted butter
2 whole eggs + 1 yolk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
To make the filling: Mix cream cheese and vanilla pudding until thoroughly incorporated. Add milk and eggs and mix until combined. Stir in banana extract.
To make brownies: Mix together both sugars, butter, vanilla extract and eggs. Add flour, salt, baking powder. Mix together to form a thick dough. Line a 9x13 glass casserole pan with parchment paper, leaving enough overhang to lift the brownies out of the pan. Drop the brownie mix in and spread evenly in the pan. Pour filling on top and spread evenly over the dough. Lay vanilla wafers on top in a 4 x 6 pattern. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Mother's Day is getting closer. Make sure you call Cindy 386-689-9454 to get your reservations in. The menu has changed a little. They have added some tasty dishes to it. The dinner is $15 per adult, $5 for children 5-11 and children under 5 are free. I will post updated menu later today.
