Happy Friday! I stopped by the kitchen this morning to drop off a few things and clear out a few more. Roxi has been busy cleaning, and organizing, and getting the kitchen in tip top shape. I’ll admit that I shed a few tears (this is the second career that stupid cancer has taken away from me). Though a bit sad, I know in my heart that this is the right decision.
So, join us (Roxi is still gonna let me help out when I can!) Monday for the official changing of the guards, passing of the torch . . .as Roxi serves up her first Monday Meal of Pulled Pork, Man n Cheese, and Baked Beans. Soup will be White Chicken Chili and Sweet Treats will be available. Serving from 5-7pm.

Hey All! Quick, open your window and look outside…that is the warmth and sunshine of SPRING on the way !!! A great way to enjoy the warmer weather is to let Roxi do the cooking on Monday night !! She will be starting serving every Monday on March 7th. The menu will be Pulled Pork Sandwich with Homemade Mac n Cheese and Baked Beans. She will have Sweet Treats available and I will be helping her out for her first Monday by making my delicious White Chicken Chili - just for you !!! It makes me so very happy that my beautiful kitchen is not going to sit empty. I am excited to help my dear friend Roxi get her new business rolling! Supporting Roxi, also helps to support me by covering some of the expenses of keeping the kitchen going even though I am unable to do the actual cooking by myself anymore. Happy Saturday !! Roxi and I have been working hard to get all of the paperwork details in order, share recipes, tips, and tricks of the trade, and just enjoy chatting about future ideas while dreaming of success for her new business. I am so thankful to still sort of be a part of her new business and benefit financially, while also being able to comply with the restrictions my crazy body puts on me. Be sure to mark your calendars for her first Monday night meal on March 7th. She will be serving an old favorite of Pulled Pork, Homemade Mac n Cheese, and Baked Beans. Roxi will also be offering a full line of catering services. She has already had some inquiries-YAY!! It is a tough time to start a new business so she is very thankful for all of your early interest in support. ***Side Note : Since being home from my hospitalization, which I can only describe as horrific and frightening, I have shown much improvement. I keep getting stronger and am able to do more and more things each day. I am exploring what some future treatments other than chemo may benefit me. I appreciate all your love over the past three years as well as your understanding when I had to close unexpectedly***

Roxi has worked with me in the kitchen for a couple years and is so excited to start her new business RJ Eats and Cateringand Catering. Jil’s Catering Co. CLOSING December 31, 2021!

Hey All! I hope you are enjoying the holidays. I regret to inform you that Jil’s Catering will be closing at the end of this year- yep just two days from now-didn’t want to to be sad for long. Due not to really unforseen events, that are really quite forseen, we will no longer ofter Monday Meals. We have had such a wonderful summer and fall of 2021and we thank you for those memories!! I stated what I wanted to do with the business and my body responded loud and clear what it thought about it! I will update you a final report when I have it. For now, I am in the hospital and decisions needed to be made. It is in my best interest to close the business and focus, focus, focus on life !

We now need to be CLOSED on Monday, December 20th!
( I had an appointment today, and I need to have treatment on Monday. Due to the holidays, Monday is the only day it can be done and still keep my cycles on schedule. Keeping on schedule gives me the best chance of this new treatment working.)
THANK YOU for your understanding. We were also scheduled to be closed on Monday the 27th.
We will be back OPEN and ready to feed you after the first of the year on Monday, January 3rd. Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas ! Jil, Sam, and Mia.

Hey Peeps! We hope eveyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We will be OPEN again on Monday, December 6th serving a regular favorite of Spaghetti w/ Meat Sauce or Chicken Alfredo with a Side Salad, and Garlic Bread. Soup will be Spinach Bisque. Please plan to join us for dinner. Send us your preorders ASAP to help with our planning or just stop by. While having last Monday off was a nice break, we are eager to get cooking and feed you throughout December.

**There are so many Sweet Treats in December with gatherings and family traditions, that we will not be baking in December. We may do a few brownies this month, but other than that we will not have Sweet Treats in December. (I also started a new treatment on Tuesday-2 icky chemos- so I am lightening my kitchen work a bit by not baking to give my body time to adjust). In addition to Sweet Treats, we will not be making Potato Bologna this year for the same reason. Monday Meals are still a go however, and we hope to see you each week !! December is so BUSY, let us cook for you on Monday. See you soon. Jil

It is almost Taco Time!! I know many people wait for our delicious tacos to roll around in the menu rotation. We slow roast pork shoulder in a special blend of seasonings (cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt, pepper, lime juice, OJ, Coke, onions, and garlic). When it is fork tender, we shred, and then put in a high heat oven to caramelize the meat. Served with lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream, cilantro and a sides of Spanish Rice and Refried Beans. Our soups will be White Chicken Chili and Broccoli Cheddar. Sweet Treats (FCFS) will include Assorted Brownies, Thanksgiving Cupcakes, and Pumpkin Pie!! We are still accepting PREORDERS or just plan to stop by. Serving from 4:30-6:00pm at 410 Main St New Windsor. See you soon !
