Amanda welcomed both of us in with her ebullient energy, her impeccable eye for style, and the BEST style advice. Before I knew it, I was surrounded by some of the most beautiful gowns I had seen during my search for the one. One by one, we tried on gorgeous dress after gorgeous dress, but once I slipped into the Berkshire, I knew I had found my dress. The perfect bodice, a slimming drop waist, and the beautiful lacework were all so compelling, but I wanted to layer the skirt with another fabric. Ensconced within the timelessness of the Atlanta History Center’s Swan House, Sami and Drew’s classic yet opulent wedding unfolded amidst vibrant florals, lush gardens, and the soft strains of a string quartet. Sami truly felt like a princess the day of her wedding in Poetic Light from the Blue Willow by Anne Barge, and her favorite detail about the gown was the matching embroidered flowers from her dress to her veil. The funny thing is, Sami originally wanted to buy 2 dresses (1 gown for the ceremony and 1 short dress for the reception); however, as soon as she put her wedding gown on for the first time, she said she didn’t want to change out of it! Goodbye dress #2!

My bridal stylist, Chica Irwin, helped me combine my two favorite dresses into my perfect one—the Ravello dress with the Bisous shape. I could not be more grateful for the expertise at Anne Barge! Vintage, southern, winter elegance. Sea Island is the perfect combination of what my husband and I love most about Georgia (where he’s from) and Florida (where I’m from), with the beautiful marshland and beach.
