We all need some good advice and well wishes. Talk to me...to my past couples and vendors I love. What advice would you give a new couple planning their wedding? Was there anything you stressed over on your wedding day and later thought, 'why did I even bother worrying?'...I know as a planner, I have a few.

My advice; hire a day of wedding coordinator to help you. We are literally here for you! It's an investment just as important as your photographer & florist. We take the lead and become your liaison. We create the wow factor, the first look, the butterfly moments. That s**t is real and we got you!

Who is going to handle all the small details that matter? We are! Setup and takedown are one of the biggest concerns of the day. You definitely don't want to bother any of your closest friends & you're too busy in hair and makeup. We step in to take that major stress away, handle with care and execute.

New year, fresh vibes. Happy 2024 🥳

I am Nicole Risby owner of NikkiRis Events LLC. I've gained some new followers over the past year so I wanted to share a bit about myself.

First - I hate this part. Haha. I'd rather show then tell but In this business we have to be transparent-ish. I told myself 2024 I will be more visible and show more than just amazing photos from my amazing couples and clients.

Wedding and event planning came to me during a poignant time in my life. I was over being a GM and managing adults, lost my 10 year job at Heartland (thank goodness) and took 6 months off to decompress and evaluate the people around me. During that time I booked 3 weddings with no business, no business name, no business plan and no portfolio. I rocked out all 3 weddings, but my wedding in New Orleans sealed the deal. This was my next adventure, and new life plan.

I launched NikkiRis Events in August of 2020 in the middle of the night. I was just tired of talking about it and I asked 'how do I start' and the answers flowed to me like water. I created my own website, social media handles, email accounts and the name! What will I name my company?

NikkiRis is Nicole Risby- Just a play on my name, and it just made sense. If you know me as 'Ris' or called me 'Risby' over the years it makes sense to you too. Haha. Plus I want something that represents my name for years to come.

My approach to event planning is cool, calm and collected. This is YOUR day and I'm here to execute that vision however it may look. The pressure is very real and I have to be the source of calm. With 5,000 things happening I am the 1 with all the answers. I am a creator and I bring visions to life. I help you stress-less once I've joined the team. I am a problem solver and quick on my toes. I make you feel at home and I walk into every venue like I've been there before. I treat my fellow vendors with respect and respect their time and creativity as well. I am a whole vibe, and my energy is unmatched.

After 3 years in the making I am starting the year off with 6 weddings on the calendar. Let's kick some ass 2024!

We conquer rainy days!

Rain!! Just another factor to add to an insane day. One of the biggest worries from our brides and grooms especially if they're having an outdoor wedding. I always say commit to a rain plan that you love and bring some fun umbrellas. Embrace the moment, your photos will turn out amazing!
