In Partnership with The HOUSE of ALEijUAN, we are hosting our first outdoor music festival !

Featuring some beloveds from our open mics and new artists to the BAH community.

Make Music Day has been a musical holiday since 1982; always celebrated on June 21st the Summer Solstice.

It’s a day where free music is everywhere, all around each city: street corners, parks, rooftops, gardens, and now… it’s @ Bed-Stuy Art House.

There will also be an artistic Gallery happening inside the space featuring visual artists.

At the event, we will join multi-disciplinary artist Edisa Weeks in the journey of making 1,865 roots out of paper and twine, in preparation for the installation and performance of 3 RITES: Liberty. 1865 represents the last year of legalized chattel slavery in America.

651 ARTS, in Collaboration with Edisa Weeks/DELIRIOUS Dances, will also be releasing the Roots Party , which is the first of four zines about the 3 RITES project!

When @bkartscouncil partnered with us to produce a full day of wellness workshops, they asked us who was someone who creates wellness in the neighborhood. That was easy. @ricktherulerr the owner of Ricks barbershop and our literal neighbor is someone we’ve really appreciated since the day we got here.
