My client reached out after seeing my work and asked me to create a stunning tablescape for her daughters First Holy Communion! When we learned we would be going back to @violettesnyc, this time their “Crate Room”, it was even more special…Last year we began our journey decorating their ”Button Room”, so it’s always a special place for us!
Our client wanted a neutral tone, sage and ivory with soft hints of blush and gold, but most of all, she wanted floating candles! We did our best to fit as many as we could without taking away from the space. I truly hope we reached her expectations!

Beginning the week reminiscing back to my interview with @chrisiecanny of @ventedinbrooklyn….I was brave enough to watch it for the first time TODAY! 😂
I hate seeing myself on camera. Trust when I say, I’m extremely shy and hate being the center of attention! I was nervous as hell that day but watching now, I must say it made me feel proud…Literally 40 minutes of everything so important to me and it’s forever a memory. @chrisiecanny thanks for throwing me on your schedule even though I was hesitant!!! I love I can look back and feel like I was able to accomplish so much in just one year!
And OMG, did we really catch the making of “Check your CANNS” live? (If you don’t know friends, look back at get to know because it will be happening again!)….Amazing things happen when women put their minds together :)
I love that this memory was captured; from chatting about my Lyme journey, sharing the mission behind my business publicly for the first time, sharing my fears before taking the leap and words of encouragement to others now wanting to take the leap as well…all still hold true…Not to mention! My shout out to some special women entrepreneurs who continue to support me to this day!
I love what I do and I love where this road is heading. The positivity has been freaking amazing and now I am just in cloud nine working on a number of projects including offering intimate event decor packages at the same venue I held my business launch at @somethingblucreativestudio!!! I love that God had brought so many of you incredible ladies into my life, and many of you I connected with the first time literally the day after this interview!

It’s always sad saying goodbye to something we have made part of our lives.
I came across Hala on social media one day and learned about a wellness center she ran at Empire Outlets. I would admire from afar in awe, because we shared a similar love for community. It reminded me of my days growing up in the Bronx, running around with my youth group buddies, hanging across the street on the infamous stairs. Everyone would know that’s was the spot at some point after school, we would all gather. That spot to me, is what @thebadassbootcamp was for many of Staten Island’s north shore youth. My mom was also very involved in the community via her organization, Mercy Center. They offered so many programs and free classes to help minorities level up in life and in their careers. I felt that the same fuel ran @thebadassbootcamp…which is why I wanted somehow to fit in the time to give them what I could. I reached out to Hala one day to ask her if I can help her in any way and I wanted to offer her my services. We never got to meet at the time…(God had to teach me some life lessons first)…but I did return to her and she welcomed me with open arms.
Hala has helped me advance my craft in so many ways by allowing me her space to practice finding my niche. I would often roll my wagon in there carrying more than the load I was pulling. I would unpack my things and unpack my troubles, and tears. I always left the space feeling revived and somehow at peace. My biggest regret was not spending more time at the shop for the events and gatherings. Sometimes life has you always on the go and we forget to stop and allow time to ourselves.
I’m so sad to see the space taken away, but it’s not the humans doing this, it’s the universe…it’s GOD.
I would often have conversations with myself watching Hala in action and think “this girl is too big for here”. I knew that something big was due to her and her business model…so I am celebrating because now they are clos
When Veronica asked us to plan and design the perfect concept for Devon’s birthday celebration, we were ready to bring out the big guns!
These two have not only been our clients for many years, but our extremely dear friends!
We went with a Caribbean style to celebrate Devon’s hometown of Jamaica and added some festive flair, with colorful feathers, bright painted palms and custom made carnival masks!!
