Some ideas for an "ultimate autumn weekend" in NYC from the UK's Telegraph. We're big fans of the Transit Museum and not just for the souvenirs mentioned in the article, which can also be picked up at their satellite gallery location in Grand Central Terminal. The main location in Brooklyn (in a former subway station) features some great exhibits including historic subway cars, which you can sometimes ride to iconic NYC destinations like Coney Island during their ticketed "nostalgia ride" events.

In recent years, it's become increasingly popular for our client groups to pair their visits to NYC with some smaller getaway destination in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic region. Great to see this iconic NYC attraction voted # 1 in the world. ICYMI in 2019, shortly before the pandemic, the Empire State Building completed a renovation of its observation decks and the feedback has been very positive, so even if you've been before it might just be worth another visit. Interesting movie-inspired look at NYC, from the legendary Singapore Airlines. Of course, people from around the world continue to be motivated to visit or even move to the Big Apple by the many films and television series set here, and everyone seems to have their favorites; let us know some of yours! Fun fact: Singapore Airlines serves NYC nonstop not only from Singapore (the world's longest commercial flight), but also from Frankfurt.

The New York Times has revealed its "52 Places to Go in 2023" and there are some amazing destinations here. #1 is London which is always a favorite of our incentive group clients, but we'd like to highlight a less obvious name on the list - New Haven, CT! New Haven is now our second location and "Connecticut’s third-largest city is a historic, mostly walkable and bikeable seaside town with distinctive neighborhoods, an encyclopedic collection of great American architecture, a thriving cultural life and one of the best food scenes in the country for a city of its size." As with our other destinations, we're happy to be of assistance in the exciting Elm City or on the beautiful Connecticut shoreline in general.

Here's a quick look at this year's NYC holiday department store windows. Saks Fifth Avenue also adds a light show to their traditional window displays and apparently the combined effort took 250 people working around 40,000 hours to complete!

This year's Rock Center tree is an 82ft tall Norway Spruce from Queensbury, NY and it's lit daily from 5am-12am. On Christmas Day it will be lit for 24 hours and on New Year’s Eve from 5am to 9pm. Michael's pro tip to avoid crowds: go on a weeknight and approach from the 48th Street side between 5th and 6th Avenues. Another NYC holiday tradition that's back this year. We were going to share our own pics as we're at Grand Central every week but this is better. Great place to pick up unique holiday gifts from artisanal and local vendors and now with a new City Winery location just opposite in Vanderbilt Hall, featuring grab and go food, a wine bar cafe, and a farm-to-table restaurant.
