Number of players
3-5 players, best experience 4-5 players
Game background
We are a group of farmers who grow beans. We work hard and hope that the beans in the field will grow steadily. The higher the beans, the more gold coins they can sell. If the beans are picked before they grow, then there will be no harvest~
Game settings
Each player draws 5 cards and takes a field card (3 fields for 3-player games, 2 fields for more than 3 players).
Game introduction
In the game, you plant and then harvest bean cards to earn coins. Each player starts with a hand of random bean cards, each with a number corresponding to the number of beans of that type in the deck. Unlike most other card games, you can’t rearrange the order of the cards in your hand, so you must use them in the order you took them out of the deck - unless you can trade them to other players, which is the core of the game.
On your turn, you must put the first one or two cards in your hand into the ”field“ in front of you. Each field can only be planted with one type of bean, so if you must plant a type of bean that isn‘t in your field, then you must harvest a field to make room for the newcomer. You can trade these cards, as well as any cards in your hand, for cards from other players, and you can even make future promises on cards you receive now.
As you harvest beans, you receive coins based on the number of bean cards in that field and a ”bean list“ of specific types of beans. Flip 1-4 cards from that field, convert them to coins, and place the remaining cards in the discard pile. When the deck runs out, shuffle the discard cards and play two more times in the deck. At the end of the game, everyone gets to harvest their own fields, and whoever has won the most coins is the winner.
