On this Veteran’s Day, spare a thought for all the brave men and women who fought to create and preserve American democracy for us, who fought for our right to vote and be represented, who fought to break the chains of the enslaved, to topple despots and free the oppressed. Pray that the men and women serving today live up to that historical standard as we enter into uncertain times.
