It was my pleasure to donate food to the GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION & the RFK FOUNDATION. They are doing a great thing for families that were broken apart because of the criminal justice system#MASSBAILOUT Mass Bail Out Welcome Center Food Support On October 1st, Grassroots organizers along with The Robert F Kennedy Foundation have joined together to demonstrate one of the largest Bail Out Actions for Women and Youth in US history who have yet to be convicted of a crime at Rikers. The Action is called Mass Bail Out and we are asking you for community support. On this Wednesday and throughout the next few weeks, 400 women and 50 youth will be freed from Rikers. During this transition, we are asking community to assist our Welcome Center, which is compiled of volunteers from nonprofit health service organizations, and community lead and based organizations. At the Welcome Center Individuals will receive services and the necessary items to be re-entered back to their community and families. To complete this homecoming, I am seeking your assistance in sponsoring a day of meals for those who will be returning home. Your donation will provide (2) catered entrees (breakfast and lunch) to individuals who have lacked nutritious meal(s) and have been exposed to deplorable inhumane condition, just because of lack access to funds.
