I can't let the day end without wishing the Niels a very happy anniversary!! I don't have favorites, but these two are very special to me. They met my dad and he was so vested in their wedding. He made me call him on their wedding day so he can see it all happen. A core memory.

That depends.....

If you hire a wedding planner that provides design services, than that is the person that will design your wedding.

If you hire a wedding planner that doesn't provide design services, they will partner with a wedding designer to design your wedding.

Most wedding florist are not wedding designers. They provide wedding flowers only but they are happy to help. Some also provide you with additional rentals from their inventory to help with your wedding design like specialty tables, linens, chargers, etc. But there are wedding florist that are indeed wedding designers.

Whichever professional you chose, just remember wedding design is not a complimentary service. Wedding design is a timing consuming part of wedding planning. A planner or florist will have a fee for design services.

So who design your wedding? That depends on you!

Good thing and cheap and cheap thing ain't good. These are the words of my grandmother and she was a bargain hunter.

The less expensive vendor is going to cost you something in return. And that's okay but just realistic about what you're paying for.

If it doesn't cost you money, it's going to cost you time, if it doesn't cost you time, it may cost you a level of quality. You are going to lose something in return for the lower price. And that's fine.

Just be realistic when making this decision.

I am a wedding planner... of course I am going to tell you to hire a wedding planner, lol! But it's not just because I am a wedding planner.

It's because I've seen the difference between weddings with planners and weddings without planners.

It's because I've heard the stories of stressed out couples vs. couples that are not worried about a thing.

It's because there is always a difference when I start from the beginning with my couples vs. when we start in the middle.

I know design is the fun part but starting with a wedding planner will save you time and your sanity.

Story about the time a wedding took me out of a dark place and into a love and light. Long read alert

Yesterday was a not a great day for me. When I got home, I received a messaged from with the photos of this beautiful wedding we collaborated on back in May. Instantly lifted my mood because I remember this was the wedding that saved my soul.

Days after saying good-bye to my father, I had to prepare the floral design for the wedding I was contracted for a couple of months ago. I knew I was going to get it done. I am a woman of my word. And if I couldn't do it, I knew my team would step in and take the wheel. But I didn't feel like myself. I was a robot.

But once I was in my element, with my team and we started designing and singing to our playlist like we always do, I started to feel the weight of grief get lighter and lighter. With every bloom, I bloomed a little more.

My work is more than money, it's my JOY! I am truly happy and alive when I am working. The good, the bad and the ugly.

Thank you for sending me these. You had no idea how much joy it gave me yesterday when I was having a bad day.
