to our first event, The Drunken Dragon festival when we created the annual celebration for Macao Trading Co.
We brought to life the ancient Chinese legend of the drunken dragon and the priest that saved Macao. Inside we transformed the space with lush lighting and 1800âs SE Asia decor.
The evening culminated with a 30 ft. Dragon fighting a Chinese fan dancer, âsaving the island of Macaoâ.
The evening was punctuated by burlesque performances curated by who, as pictured, poured a lot of champagne everywhere.
Itâs nice to know it lives on. The annual event still happens every year.

â¨THROWBACK:
AAP turned an ordinary Brooklyn laundromat into an underground discotheque for hundreds of influencers and press. Smoke machines and lasers brought the space to life as the crowd danced to a DJ-set of funk and soul. Quirky characters and glittering models added to the atmosphere, offering detergent-themed drinks and volunteering their... ironing services. â¨đĽđ§ş
Challenge yourself to transform a space, sometimes the unconventional may be the perfect fit.

to when we created an Artist Vs. Artist Battle Royale in a Williamsburg warehouse for LENOVO to launch the new drawing tablet. As the influencer crowd gathered, they engaged in a variety games around the warehouse, all centered on creativity. The battle royal was broken up by breakdancer and beatboxer battles with a pop-and-lock âround girlâ. The video was turned into branded content and became the center of their Lenovoâs social campaign.

Who remembers A R E A?
to when we recreated the infamous club, AREA for
Our concept was, "It's 4am." We spent time imagining what that what a party feels like at 4am and created that. We put up tons of decor only to trash it, spray painting curtains, and setting off confetti cannons, etc. We had pranksters creating mischief, a duo gave ONLY buzzcuts in the corner, a girl roller-skated with glee, and there was a pillow fight. (which Chuck Close got caught within)

NIGHTCLUB OF THE FUTURE
Throwback to Milan, Italy when we co-designed the âNightclub of the Futureâ for Heineken. It was part of an international nightlife design competition teaming up designers from all over the world to collaborate in itâs creation.
The project culminated in a club, a physical build 5 nights of epic parties and 3,000 people.
Inside we had voguing dancers, âdare girlsâ, a ton of interactive digital art. (Way before it was cool)
It was such a mishmash of designers collaborating, my main job was to creative direct at the end work, bringing every activation and staff member into theme, creating a cohesive and fun experience.

Secret Cinema::
Why attend the cinema when you can step into the film itself. has guests take an experiential journey culminating in a film screening. Sometimes thereâs an ARG or map point leading up to the event venue. When guests arrive, they find the world built out all around them. Dozens of characters roaming, ready to build your story. Itâs like a west world carnival created from the film itself. 12+years strong, itâs risen to million dollar buildout, running for 3+ months at a time with 1-2 viewings a day. Itâs astonishing the scale of things
Secret Cinema, Stranger Things: Opening Nov 13th. In a secret London location, dive into a living, breathing story to experience your favorite moments from the Netflix series. New and old tales will blend together in a thrilling collage of the greatest decade for music, fashion and film.
Travel back to the â80s as you step into the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. But donât be deceived by its charming exterior. In a town built on secrets you may be surprised to discover a more sinister truth than you had ever imagined.

LONDON IMMERSIVE: Hop across the bond for one of the most innovative dining experiences on the market, The Gingerlineâs âChamber of Flavorsâ
Itâs a multi-room, multi-course dining experience. From what I gather, you move through at least 5 rooms, each with a different course. Food is revealed as the story unfolds. The set design and creativity is quite insane. We are consistently inspired by the work they create. Also, guests are sworn to secrecy, so dont google it.
When to pitch(for free) when not to?
Being a professional creative means having to pitch your services to clients. Iâve been doing it for 10 years and itâs never a simple decision when to engage in a pitch (for free) or not.
Heres a few ways to sidestep around it.
* Build a scope of work with pricing. See if you can get that budget approved.
* If itâs a custom pitch and canât be estimated without significant work, tell them you charge a fee to build a proposal. Itâs X amount and will be deductible from the total fee.
Also, and alternately, these are the criteria I use to inform if I pitch or not...
* How many ppl are pitching against me?
* Is the project something that Iâd be really good at?
* Are they actually invested in me, or looking for a counter bid
* How busy am I at the moment?
* Are they willing to put down a retainer to begin creative work?
I push, I prod, I get these answers so I can decide.
Tap Sensation:
One of our favorite performers to work with is Omar Edwards the illuminated tap dancer.
I like to bring him out secretly into the middle of a crowded party. When he gets on stage, click, clack the sound of his shoes tapping flows into the music, as he steps onto the stage, he turns his LED shoes on.
Itâs a full on spectacle as he heightens the party. The most amazing part of working with Omar is how much you can see him enjoying it. He really gets into it.

to our Marie Antoinetteâs Bo***ir Party
We let them have their cake, and eat it too. For the TV show âCake Boss,â we worked with The Supper Club and TLC to create a concept party.
In my research (at the NYPL) I found that when Marie Antoinette turned 21, she partied for 3 days straight. I thought, âwhat would that look like?â We dressed up the place then completely trashed it, had performances, and tons of Cake. This was an episode of and is still one of the top ten episodes of all time.
was the headline performance! was spectacular! did the flowers and was so beyond gorgeous

Going Out Fatigue: New York is a city where it's harder to NOT to go out than it is TO go out. We can get exausted and in that state, everything seems flat.
How do we decide when to say yes to an event invitation?
1. Do you see this as very likely to be inspiring?
2. Do you need to have this experience in your mental library?
3. Do you foresee amazing connections at this event? Specifically in your industry
How do we choose when not to go out?
1. If youâre exhausted, depleted, or need to rest
2. If you feel itâs âan obligationâ, and canât say no.
3. If you could âtake it or leave itâ. Itâs not that important.
4. If youâre in a work crunch mode and need to be %100 top form.
5. How many days can you go out before youâre exhausted?
Show of hands, who struggles with extrovert fatigue?
Where does inspiration come from? Everywhere, all day & everyday. Focus more on capturing inspiration than anything else and youâll train yourself to look for inspiration. I keep a journal, writing in it every morning. One of the things I record is my inspirations & ideas from the day prior. On Sunday night, I sit down to recap my top inspiration of the week and recap my top 5. In summary, train yourself to be inspired ready.
Friends, how do you get inspired? What are your tricks?

10/27/19 - F*ck Halloween go to Diwali festival in India for a real experience - the festival of lights, which is celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists every autumn. Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance." During the celebration, temples, homes, shops and office buildings are brightly illuminated. The preparations, and rituals, for the festival typically last five days, with the climax occurring on the third day. // If you canât make it to India, just hang with us for our 2019 Halloween party at
