Here's a quick tip/anecdote. I was asked to make a mix that matched that bright red colored blood from the since they were shooting in on video for that look. I get to set and the director loves it however the DP says it just doesn't work. So I go in my kit and then to for some chocolate syrup to darken up the blood it up and after that the fx made everyone physically ill. Can't wait to share
