GOOD FRIDAY.
Because God proved His love for us WHILE we were still sinners, how much more can we know His love is real for RIGHT NOW.
That means when we invite Him to search our hearts, and He finds things that are robbing us of His best, we know His intentions are for good, not for shame.
He wants to come close to us, not cancel us.
Happy Good Friday!
LOST & FOUND: Jesus Welcomes You
In the same way there are symptoms to being sick, there are symptoms to being lost. So whether or not we want to admit it, we acknowlegde the symptoms and deeply assess what our condition is.
Some people never get checked out at the doctor, afraid of what the diagnosis will be... as if not finding out is a cure.
So when we realize we're lost, the good news is Jesus is more than wanting to us to be found, and won't reject us when we return home.
He welcomes us, with an amazing celebration.
LOST & FOUND: WEEK I
Feeling lost? It's time to come back home.
#Jesus speaks about a son who had it all, but by his lowest and most LOST point, he's seriously considering eating 🐷🐷🐷 food so he doesn't starve. He has a 💡 moment, comes to his senses and remembers how good he used to have it at his Father's house.
Maybe being lost is actually our greatest opportunity to come back to our Father, #God... who's wanting our return more than anything else.
"DON'T JUDGE ME" - JG
No one likes to feel judged.
But it seems like more and more, people actually enjoy judging.
The crazy thing is that the only one who has the right to judge and will eventually judge is God, and He doesn't event want to judge you.
He judged #Jesus, who was perfect.
So anyone who is imperfect (you and me), can now trust the perfect Jesus and have a completely judgement-free relationship with #God.
Now that's Good News.

UNWRAPPED - HOLDING GOD’S GIFT.
US FOR THEM: WEEK 1 - WHOSE SIDE?
No one’s ever won a war by themselves. Whether it’s in our favorite superhero movies, there came a point where even the strongest solo hero couldn’t take on evil alone. They built a team.
Wonder who they got that idea from? JESUS.
He built a team of ordinary people, who sometimes didn’t like each other. Often they were arguing and in conflict, but TEAM has always been God’s plan.
We’re talking more about it tonight!

JUSTICE: Many Parts, One Body (PT I)
Imagine a superhero who by the end the movie only saved one person - themself. What if they handed people a survey to fill out, finding out their beliefs before pulling them out of danger? That’s not a hero at all!
Jesus saved us. He shed his blood for us. His life wasn’t taken from Him, He laid it down for the WORLD, even His enemies.
Then He chose to live inside all of those He rescued, who've accepted His love, saying that each of us are part of His body! If we’re parts of His body, how can we cut each other off? No one in their right mind cuts off a part of their physical body, even if it’s weak. They work intentionally to make sure the weakest parts get stronger.
So as we explore JUSTICE, Adrian Jared started with the foundation - we are Many Parts, One Body!
Many Heroes, One Team.

Justice: Heroes embrace who God made them to be (PT.1)
Could you imagine cutting off your right arm because it didn’t speak? Or ripping out your eye because it couldn’t lift up a weight?
As we wrestle through the hard topic of Justice tonight, we refuse to do it the same way the world does. The world says, “I will block you. I will unfriend you. I will say hateful things to you because you’re different or didn’t act and say how I wanted you.”
True unity is our Super Power. Because we were united by the Blood of Jesus, a God who dies for His enemies, we are now a part of His body (1 Corinthians 12:12-13).
So let’s not allow what didn’t unite us, to divide us.
We’re having a ZOOM call tonight! DM us for info!
Justice Series: June 2020
JUSTICE is something we see heavily promoted in superhero movies and we’re inspired. But then we turn on the news, go on social media and see the reality of what our world can look like without it.
We wish we could make a change, but how? We don’t have “superpowers.”
Or do we?!
In June we’re going to have ZOOM rooms for all of you to join in on as we discuss what God says about justice!
So tonight, enjoy Family Friday! And we’ll see you ONLINE next Friday at 8pm.
Uncommon Families: Tough Confessions
What’s so powerful about confessing sin to one another? Isn’t it enough to apologize to God?
Check out these verses out the Bible!
“Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. Elijah, for instance, human just like us, prayed hard that it wouldn’t rain, and it didn’t—not a drop for three and a half years. Then he prayed that it would rain, and it did. The showers came and everything started growing again.” James 5:16-18 (MSG)
Let's Talk about Family (Pt. I)
Here's part 1 of our #InstagramLive session with Abel and Justine last night.
Abel shares how #God turned his family's suffering around after his uncle was murdered.
"We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." Romans 5:3-5 (ESV)
We know this clip encourages you in your relationship with #Jesus!
#RealLifeNYC
You and I have a story to tell and it’s how God broke into our lives to make us ALIVE.
Sometimes it’s not easy to share personal history, but someone needs to hear it! Because it points to Jesus’ story.
We’ll see you on this ADVENTURE tonight!
