Tomorrow night, we're hosting a special celebration of Maestro German Diez on what would’ve been his 100th birthday (1924 – 2024)! Maestro Diez served as our beloved piano chairperson for over 50 years. This show will feature performances from German’s former students, peers, and current GHMS faculty including Erika Nickrenz, Antoine Zemor, Jeni Slotchiver, Bennett Lerner, Bruce Wolosoff, and more. Coming up in two weeks, Greenwich House Music School’s premiere jazz clarinet ensemble will honor Howard Johnson’s groundbreaking tuba music. The show will also highlight music from the last decade of jazz clarinet concerts including compositions by Joseph Daley, James Jabbo Ware, Todd Marcus, Horace Silver, Thelonious Monk, Julius Hemphill, and more! Tonight at 8 pm! Join us to experience Keyanna Hutchinson: Plugged & Unplugged LIVE! The versatile Brooklyn-based guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer was recently awarded the prestigious Next Jazz Legacy fellowship by New Music USA. Tonight's performance will focus on a new project that combines her love of live performance with her recent explorations into electronic composition and remix culture.
