Nestled in the heart of East Harlem, The Poet's Den Theater and Gallery have established a cultural center for the East Harlem community and beyond to gather and participate in arts enjoyment. The founders rescued this once-abandoned building and transformed it into a haven where creative energy abounds and where artists engage in multidisciplinary expressions. apose a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system to harmonize the theater's old-world-style and charm. This multi-sensory environment is designed to delight audiences with a pleasing and fulfilling entertainment experience. Many theater performances, readings, and poetic expressions have received public acclaim from discerning audiences and media. As well as movies, shorts, documentaries that have also been screened for public and private audiences. The two spaces provide a complete entertainment experience where audiences delight from the live shows or movies offered and then retire to the gallery space for fellowship/networking, exhibit displays and receptions. The gallery offers local, national and international artist opportunities to showcase their work.
