SAMURI (NYC) is the multimedia music and performance collective of New York City artists Uri Dalal and Saam 'Ishi' Dalal. Best known for their production work with NYC nightlife legend and collective member Kevin Aviance, veteran DJ Uri Dalal and partner Saam Ishi have also opted to combine their talents in the DJ booth as SAMURI DJs.
Their first single ‘BANG Da Beat!’ on Nervous Records has already received critical acclaim from artists like DJ Hell, Tom Stephan and Hector Romero, who's compilation featuring two remixes of ‘BANG Da Beat!’ stayed at Traxsource's #1 spot for weeks.

'Icy Lake' explores the mystery behind Dat Oven's suicidally hot 'Icy Lake' track while connecting the dots between tribal house, vogue, grime, and the future. Although the DJs themselves somehow seem to be missing the point on the track's significance, the doc is wildly entertaining. After braving through the 'it was likes' from today's generation you are rewarded with insight on the energy and spirituality of the 90s NYC House music scene, and treated to a beautiful interview with drag icon Kevin Aviance, whom it turns out absolutely hated the track. A Junior Vasquez interview is sadly missing.

Now his Body & Soul have been horribly disfigured by Frat Boys pretending to be artists & girls dressed in football gear & Wookie boots. Segregated and pretentious, blown into giant faux corporate festivals, making millions for 'the man' while leaving it's true loves out in the cold, the 'house parties' are attended by the mindless hipsters.
But now, with the help of a friend, the pattern of revenge now takes shape.

That inspired me amidst all the anger and hatred and chaos going on in the city around me. I decided it deserved a revisiting and fix a few things that always bothered me. Rather than bother Franco for another video I made my own edit. Here it is. I hope you love this song as much as I do. I think it's one of the greatest pop songs ever written.
