Nowhere rivals NY for Halloween celebrations in our opinion!
The atmosphere, the fun and the many, many events taking place over October make NY an amazing place to visit at this time of year.
We love it so much that we’ve rounded up the best free events on offer:

🎃 The Village Halloween Parade. This spooky procession is one not to miss as thousands of revellers in the best costumes take to Greenwich Village and March and dance. Go along to watch or take part! October 31

🎃 Luna Park in Coney Island goes all out for Halloween. Their fall themed activities include Pumpkin decorating, tractor racing & trick or treating. For all the food lovers, think Pumpkin spiced and apple cider flavoured carnival style treats throughout the park. Free admission with your Sightseeing Pass.

🎃 Halloween Pumpkin Flotilla. On October 30, the Harlem Meer will light up as a flotilla of lit pumpkins will glide along the water. It’s the most beautiful, family friendly event.

🎃 Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest. Every year since 1998, beloved doggies have been getting dressed up in their Halloween finery with their humans cheering them on. Go along to the bottom of the Prison Ship Martyrs’ Monument stairs and watch for free.

🎃 The pumpkin arch in the Seaport has probably been all over your Instagram and it remains a firm favourite to visit this fall. You can find it on the Heineken Riverdeck on the north side of Pier 17 in the Seaport.

🎃 See the spectacular Halloween displays on the streets on NY from comfort as you take a night tour on the Gray Line. On a luxury vehicle, you can see the best of NYC’s illuminations. Spooky season is officially back in NYC and our partners at are bringing all the Halloween feels with their annual pumpkin carving competition this Saturday 12th.

One of NYCs most famous icons, this bridge has been part of the skyline since 1883 and looking at views like this, we know exactly why it is a top visiting destination for both tourists and locals.

A little bit of history that still makes us chuckle - in 1884 Jumbo, a seven-ton elephant, and his 20 elephant friends left their circus tent and went on a casual walk from Brooklyn to Manhattan, to prove to New Yorkers that the bridge would not collapse 🐘
