What ifā¦
If I hadnāt shown up as an extra to a music video shoot on my college campus then I wouldnāt have met the friends who would inspire my interest in photography more seriously.
If I hadnāt said yes to my college bestie asking me to photograph her wedding, I wouldnāt have researched wedding photography careers.
If I hadnāt arrived late to a clothing swap,
I might not have met the photographer who gave me my first job second shooting and eventually became my mentor.
If I didnāt hate my first job out of college, I wouldnāt have quit to do photography full-time.
If I didnāt impulse buy a $200 ticket to NYC for my birthday in 2019, I might not have fallen in love with the city.
Everything happens for a reason and Iām so glad all of this lead me here š

I like to describe my photography style as āguided candidā. Iāll offer posing and guidance as it makes sense, then step back to document the organic moments that follow.
Iām Rachael Crowe of @okcrowe and Iāve been a full-time wedding photographer for six years. At this point in my career, there are no event moments that I canāt artfully photograph.
If my style resonates with your wedding vision, I would love to spend some time getting to know you and your partner! Fill out the contact form on okcrowe.com and weāll schedule a quick chat to talk through your wedding details together š

Have you decided on your wedding send off yet? š¤
Your wedding send off can be just as memorable as your entrance to your ceremony and reception. Itās the final opportunity for guests to celebrate you and your new life together in true style before departing at the end of the night.Ā
Popular send offs include sparklers, bubbles, bird seed, and flower petals - all of which make for beautiful photos. But if youāre looking for something just a bit more exciting, try throwing paper or metallic streamers! š
For OkCrowe couple Mary Bess and Jordan, one of the most important things they kept in mind while planning their wedding was making sure both they and their guests were having a good time.Ā Not only were they a super fun couple to work with, but their entire wedding was a blast from beginning to end.
After a ceremony and reception at the Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall, their guests lined up outside the venue and threw paper streamers over them as they walked past. The result was pure chaos and fun with amazing pictures to prove it š
By the time the two made it from the doorway of the venue to their getaway trolley, they were almost completely covered in a tangled web of streamers. But the huge smiles on both of their faces radiated love and joy that even a full cascade of paper streamers could not overshadow!

While I hope for the absolute best at each and every event I photograph, sometimes things just happen! Itās helpful to have an experienced vendor on your side to help navigate those situations.
Ways Iāve helped my couples in the pastā¦
Wedding day rain is everyoneās nightmare. When the weather suddenly changed at an outdoor wedding, I helped coordinate moving the ceremony to an indoor location and arranging decor/seating in a way that worked best with the lighting from the roomās windows to preserve the view.
At another rainy event, the bride was disappointed they would be missing a sparkler sendoff at the end of their reception. I suggested that we have all of the guests gather in the venueās hallway, hold up their cellphone lights, and make a tunnel for the couple to walk through for photos and goodbyes. The photos turned out adorable!
I recently was photographing groomsmen group photos right before a ceremony when the groomās jacket buttons fell off! The planner had already stepped away to coordinate guest arrive, so I was the only one left around that knows how to sew. I had his buttons stitched back on and was outside ready for the ceremony before anyone could even notice.
Not to toot my own horn, but šŗ I love being a helpful resource to my couples. Whether thatās before their wedding by helping plan timelines and shot lists, during, or after their event.
I also highly recommend having an experienced and knowledgeable wedding planner on your side. Together, your vendor team will make your wedding day as carefree and relaxed as possible š
