—New York based GHOST Gallery, known for its impressive history of identifying and promoting young and emerging artists, makes its debut in downtown Los Angeles on Sept. 28, 2019 at 6pm, with an inaugural show featuring Brazilian phenom Samuel de Saboia. The show, UnAmerican Beauty, will be the first of many exhibitions showcasing prominent young artists.

For the past month, Brazilian artist Samuel D’ Saboia has been working on a series of paintings and sculptures for his solo show, Belas Feridas (Beautiful Wounds), in the same space that he will ultimately be exhibiting them in. Following the deaths of five of the artists close friends (this year), the show explores love, violence and mortality through painting and sculptural works. Friday, May 11th & 12th!!! @chavbrand’s Queen Black America is an installation across many mediums, employing photography, digital art, video, sculptural pieces, poetry and music. The piece creates a dream state fantasy world that transports the audience inside the artist’s belly to feel, alongside him, the struggle to create and overcome. The study began with photography as Cha’ves struggled with depression in his Harlem apartment. He imagined spinning around in a field, trying to do whatever he could to get a glimpse of himself.
