If i had to sum up Katy and Sam’s wedding in 2 words they would be LOVE + PARTY. Everything about their day was playful and fun, much like their personalities.
You could feel the love in the air all day, not just between the couple, but with all of their friends and extended family. They really took this day and made it theirs. 🪩

This is a gratitude post to L+K who gave the trust and creative freedom to make the most breathtaking and textural arrangements.

When we first connected over a year before their wedding date, we had dreams of billowing clouds of white gypsophila surrounding the couple as they exchanged vows, rolling down the aisle and spilling across tables. Cut to the wedding boom of 2021…. with its endless clouds of baby’s breath and we all knew we needed to make a 180.

With Lillian’s brilliant wedding planner behind the wheel, we devised a new vision: going bold and playful. Texture was at the forefront as we ordered the fluffiest, prettiest and most interesting blooms spring had to offer. The arrangements overflowed and spilled onto the tables with lushness.
The finishing touch were the hundreds of taper candles in a mix of texture and heights, some in glass holders, some fixed to slices of black slate, to bring a romantic glow throughout the space (shout out to for the hours of finicky work.)

A floral installations is an impactful way to add a personal touch to a cocktail style reception.

Bails of privet were used to adorn the massive fireplace within the hall of the Explorers Club designed and built for the Singer Sewing heir and his family over 100 years ago. The ornate details and faces peak through clusters of peonies, while the greenery hides an unsightly projector and electric chords.
The setting offered a place for Caitlin and Mike’s friends and family to have their portraits taken, as well as offering a backdrop to their speeches throughout the reception.
