Reposting this message from our winter resident (and friend foreva) @saipua 💚: ‘Taking the winter off the farm and working in my friends flower shop @foxfodderfarm has been illuminating for me; to be on the employee side of things for a while - but also to have the experience of working outside of your own project - as an entrepreneur I find this very restful and restorative. Our culture loves to talk about rest, but it’s different for everyone. I don’t like to have idle time and I’m tired of feeling like that’s a deficiency in me or that I’m some twisted product of capitalism. I like to be productive, it’s how I feel most like myself. Taylor is a great boss and collaborator and working with her staff is the kind of long-relationship teaching I like best. I have so much to say about the experience but meanwhile, come visit me in the shop!’
